Was there. Saw a poster on my home from night shift. Made dope curry for me and wife before the gig. We were in the third row right in front of Jerry.

Sweet tunes! I always liked that early '80s smooth sound with Brent's new keyboard tones. It sounds like the dead set record era.

I was lucky enough to be there. My buddy called the hotel where Jerry was staying and they put him through....Jerry answered the phone! He tried to get backstage passes and Jerry politely explained that hey; it was Franks show, not his,so no go on backstage. Great show!

I don't know when the audio was recorded, but neither of the two photos used here are of the Pico Acid Test. The first one was before they'd moved to L.A., when they were still the Warlocks. The second one is my photo from Troupers Hall 3/25/66, which was a small gig where some people took acid, but it was not an Acid Test with the Pranksters and all.

I was there. felt my feet sinking into the melting asphalt in the parking lot, even before I tasted my ticket. the Cold Rain and Snow opener was perfect. I remember how Brent went subsonic in Scarlet. The earth shook and the color of the sky changed. It was magical. Victim or the Crime made my blood run cold. total heat exhaustion and euphoria. I didn't make it to work on Monday.

Thank you for posting this show. I was there and had a friend record it for me off WMMR. I still have the tape (but no tape player)! Not only was this a great show, but I was there with a wonderful friend who has been gone for nearly 25 years, so this show brings back special memories. Thank you!

A great show to have been at. The best part was when a Head came out from behind Brent and Jerry during "Blow Away" and danced around for a few moments, and then was escorted off the stage by Big Steve and RamRod. Jerry just looked bemused. LOL.

Reminds me of that Scarlet->Touch->Fire from the Greek in 1984. They played that at warp speed that night. Did tempos get faster in 84-85 or was it just Touch of Grey natural tempo?

It was! Unfortunately the place was so packed for set 2, the camera got knocked around a lot. We did chat with Dave after the show. Super nice, like you said. I might post just the audio from set 2. At least the Dear Prudence. It was rockin’!!!

@@halfstep1973 I'm glad you got to talk to Dave. I've known him since he took over for Stu Allen in Melvin's JGB 2010. Great guy, always smiling 😃 Sorry about set 2, I know the efforts that go into making these. Tough decision to use the footage or not. ✌️
