The one in massachutts and montana and nebraska. and north carolina and virgina are actually called a radial cone elevated tank. probably same for west hampstead N.Y. Well, I don't know if it is or not.

I have seen alot of long lines towers in Iowa. A few areas I know of. There is also a long lines tower east side of Fairfield Ia,walton Lake. One near Packwood.

There’s nothing on the official site list for Bushnell Nebraska. Mccook & Cambridge would be the closest actual sites. Not sure what you’re showing here but it’s not longlines.

WOW, ALL THE ARM CHAIR FIRE CHIEFS ON THIS ONE. So glad they can all get a full 360 view fom the camera pointing at the same places virtually the whole video. The next time I am up in the bucket or doing exposure protection I will make sure to remember to get on the far side of the fire so that my stream is pointing in the direction of the burning whatever but then they would complain that my stream was going too high over the fire even though I was trying to wet down the structures on the other side of the fire. Get a life, it's a video. Funny how many comments you get from TV fireman who can tell you everything about figfhtingb fire from watching TOWERING NFERNO but have never had the guts to put on a set of bunker gear or respond to a call.

they should ALL be Fired....water is shooting over the top never hitting the flames at all....then the stupid aerial truck is putting water on the side of 1/4 inch steel that will never get to the fire at all...the whole Dept. should be let go...

Most long lines towers were near I 80 with MCI very close as they used the same path . The others were owned by Northwestern Bell telco like in FtMadison , ottumwa ,Burlington .

Concrete towers were built b4 wave guides were used . All the xmit/rec equipment is near the top of the building . After wave guides were up and running ,the eq was on the ground with wave guides going to the parabolic antennas

These guys are working on water shuttles and the tower ladder is wasting thousands of gallons of water and accomplishing nothing. They have a hand line guy behind a building shooting water the wrong way. I appreciate they are volleys but this in inexcusable.
