The best rural sewer is a composting loo. The crap and pee get mixed with shavings like from chainsawing and duff from under trees. This is stored in a plastic drum with air holes and added compost "tiger" worms. After a year, this is rich topsoil and used as mulch around fruit trees etc. It is black, loamy and has no smell. All the nutrients paid for in the food are still there for re use. The worms also digest dead rats and other pests that had been trapped. The worms love old wool garments and beard trimmings. We did that for 15 years off grid and self sufficient. Our fruit trees were laden every year.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Your composting loo method sounds fascinating and effective. It’s great to hear how well it worked for you, especially in enriching your soil and supporting your fruit trees. I appreciate the insight into your off-grid, self-sufficient lifestyle!

Mice and rats are disease-carrying vermin. Second to mosquitoes, they've killed more humans than anything else on the planet. Fascinating? Please...

interesting topic but I think you could make a better video by referencing some specific examples and not repeating the same ideas so much

To add to this, the script sounded AI generated with how little info was presented vs how much was actually said

A general question that may be stupid, but I understand so little about this... would living in an area that has a lot of hot springs (so natural geothermal activity based on my understanding of what 'geothermal' means) make it more easy and practical to install and use a geothermal HVAC system, or would it cause problems that don't exist if you're just trying to install one of these systems in a random place without natural hot springs? Thanks.

Geothermal can be useful anywhere in the world ,But more so in the colder parts of the world like Europe or North America where Natural Gas or Electricity is used for Heating and cooling.
