I had to, literally, fight my way through Texas on my tour. Stopped off in Houston to stay with friends for a few nights; took off after an uneventful ride through Eastern Texas to Houston... I was on a Specialized Roll 3 with trailer, so there's no big acceleration happening in case of emergencies... ...and that's when it started. Going down the Eastern side of the State to the Gulf, it was a constant fight against wind, idiot drivers and dogs; of which I shot 11, got dragged down by two packs, bitten, scarred, lost weeks waiting for rabies tests. Almost got into a gunfight with one of the 'owners' of a pack of dogs that were his. Was told by a Sheriff that there's nothing can be done due to the idiot laws pertaining to dogs, there. Got a thank you and a hug from a little girl who had been attacked numerous times by a pack that I decimated-killing 5 of the 6 dogs as they charged and bit me while riding past. She had several scars from the attacks. The 'homeowner,' turned out to be a guy had buried his dead Grandmother out back and had been, for the last 5 years, collecting her checks. Busted! So the Sheriff and I became buddies and he became a 'hero' back at the HQ for the bust. Had to ship my weapon home before entering Mexico, a country with plenty of dogs, but I haven't had a single real problem with them and most dogs here are wild.

ICE did have a bad batch of seats…let them know and they will replace it!

Well I like the perspective from the holding the stick, it does take some practice lol but once you find the groove it becomes easier each time.

We just got through 3 straight days of rain and now the temperatures are only in the 30°s and it's windy... Not good for my replacement joints and osteoarthritis. Starting this Sunday, we're suppose to have five more straight days of rain showers. UGH! 🌧🌬

Same thing happened on the seat trim on my Adventure HD, I can live with it. I've heard some have this problem but not others, maybe the source or materials for one batch was subpar. Is the Ti-Fly as wide in wheelbase? And do those leaf springs allow the Ti-Fly to lean? The ICE doesn't lean. I have the Sturmey Archer drum brakes, love them, and a Rohloff hub, love that. I've found that the Lumos brand of bicycle lights (their Firefly and Firefly Mini system) mount very nicely as turn signals front and back, all wireless and the turn signal switch fits perfectly just below the grip. I improvised a child safety gun cable lock that fits perfectly in the short sleeves along the side of the upright edges of the seats, I don't carry a firearm but find this little lock is a nice means to lock the front sprocket if you will be away from the trike a few minutes, and I've found a bicycle alarm that fits perfectly on the stabilizing plate at the front of the rear wheel fork. I have the Wsdcam brand but they're branded many ways all the same device, cheap. They come with double sided stickers, but I didn't like sticking glue to the paint finish so I replaced this with thin rubber patch cut to size, with one sided glue to afix to the alarm and the rubber to sit against the trike brace, and held in place by twist ties. Being a heavier guy 300 lbs, I was having problems with something creaking as I rode but I finally isolated this to the clamps at the top rear mount of the seat. The OEM installed ones are plastic. Finally I realized that the aluminum clamps underneath the front of the seat would fit in back too, so I ordered a spare pair of those and they have solved the problem. I love the HD and would take a serious look at a Ti-Fly if rated for higher rider weight. For the HD it is 330 lbs, and for the Ti-Fly 275 lbs.

Very nice ride as usual Mike, I haven’t ridden in months it feels like lol It’s been a least 2 weeks I know, it’s just to cold for me, I just shut down in the winter time for riding lol I may get out on the trails today if it gets above 50 degrees lol

dope as hell! i love plano, i learned to ride the bike last year (late bloomer) and ive only just began exploring the trails. hopefully by now the city's cleared all the mess from the storm up

Mike does the Dumont compare with the ice adventure as far comfy ride?

We had the same thing here in Phoenix. Summer to winter in one week. And when you are acclimated to 115 or more at times, 45 is darn cold.

I have one on order which should ship early next month. To answer a few things you mentioned. It doesn't come with fenders standard, the display is mounted to the steering arm since the display and controls are one unit, it will connect to your phone via Bluetooth so you could use that as well. I didn't opt for the dual battery upgrade because it was over $2k to add it and a second 800w/hr battery is $1k so if I ever need such range I can just buy the battery separately, save $1k and take five minutes to swap out. I actually had my Ti-Fly X on order about four weeks before they announced the change over to the Gen 5 Bosch system and I managed to change my trike over to the new setup but it did put me back to a seven week wait.

Regular maintenance is key. My step-through trike tends to work its handlebar stem and rear sprocket loose.
