Hey, I watch a few of your videos and I’m currently having a mid life crisis on career path. I’m 33 and have no college experience and I also did not take high school seriously. My gpa speaks for itself… low 😅 But I’m at the point of time that without question it’s time for school. So I have two paths I have been considering. MRI technologist( possible grab 2 modalities) and go travel till I’m home ready. Surgical tech- surgical assistant traveling. The issue is, of course I want MRI but the options of schools near me are non existent. I’m having a hard time finding schooling Yet for surgical tech, it’s a bunch of options that start in less than 30 days… so I’m just in a panic state as I want to do this but it’s seems like everything around me is pointing away. I can’t wait a full year to join 2025 fall classes which most schools have stated . Any advice or help is gladly appreciated

Buuuutttt, he’s not wrong though. Especially today when it’s all automatic. Yes, you may have to place the “digital film” in place, then you push a button. That’s it. Let’s keep it real.

Hello! I just had my MRI this morning so here’s what they did for me: -put my head into this cushioned block to make sure I don’t move. -give my some headphones so I can listen to music (Melanie Martinez ofc) -my scan lasted about an hour because I had a full length spine scan -I was also given ear plugs to block out the noise of the scanner -I had the option to have my mum in the room with me and I chose for her to be in the room -the staff were so kind to me and made sure I was comfortable -I was given a squeezy thing to signal if there was anything wrong -they also gave me a blanket because it was quite cold! Good luck!

I agree. Multimodality with the certification is the way to go. I graduated Rad Tech in Dec 2022. I am now about to take my CT and MR exams (finished all my clinicals for both). My plan is to learn Mammo or IR once I am done with these two exams. I want the ability to grow within the imaging field and multi modality is the way to go ❤

I had my first CT scan today for pancreas pain. No one told me that I’d throw up all over the place when my nurse injected the contrast through my IV. I never want to experience that ever again.
