The moral: If you thrive on resentment and self pity, stay off the booze so that you can apply these in an ordered manner and with a clear head.

This man helped so many people and may his legacy continue to bless and heal. I met, had dinner with, and rode with him twice , transported him with my sponsor to meetings he was speaking /presenting too 30 years ago, and I’ve lost my way …. Made the call to Ashley tonight to stop hiding, and address what I’ve thought I had control of , That I obviously do not, and “intervention-ing” myself It’s each persons responsibility and accountability for what they do when they decide to drink….. I’ve made the decision I don’t want to, and have finally accepted that I can’t by myself This man’s insight stuck with me way more than 1/2 my life now…. Haunting me almost, Like jiminy cricket/conscience Forgive my lengthy diatribe If you’re suffering, or you know someone who is suffering, fathermartins chalk talks are great resource to understand both self and others who are struggling

Why is it when priests make jokes, people laugh with more force than the joke really deserves?

From what I understand relapse is a process either you get loaded or you don't I have not found it necessary to take a drink or drugs substance by the grace of a loving God for 64 days regardless of my anger play around if you want to it's got nothing to do with me. Stay in the shadows that's what all y'all are good at cheers! Cup of coffee will suffice

This video saved me from relapsing today. I am over 7 months clean. I'm depressed. I'm stressed. I just want to change the way I feel. I want to feel the blissful and euphoric high of marijuana. I want to get drunk. It's so hard to not relapse right now. The main thing keeping me sober right now is fear of screwing up my college career, and fear of screwing up my music career. Not even my girlfriend's love, or my family's love is keeping me sober today, though it used to. God's love is why I'm sober today...

It's so sad too see someone you love struggling with addiction. I was in addiction myself for many years, though at the time you don't realise how much your hurting yourself though the pain you are putting others through who love you. Iam seeing someone who's been drinking for years and it's hard to walk away because deap down you think you can save them, though the truth is you can't just like nobody could save me. It's only when they are ready too stop they will. Though the question is how long do you stay with someone until you decide to say enough is enough?
