To this day we don't know what this transformation is, we only know the name "Super Sayan Rage". My personal hypothesis is that he combined a somewhat buffed up version of SSJ2 with some of the ki control that gods use (the light-blue aura)

The Head Captain is on a whole other level, he was able to crush a lieutenant with his spiritual pressure without even releasing his Shikai. Well, I guess that he earned his title XD. However, in these episodes it's also implied that Shinsui and Ukitake (the two captains that were fighting him) are also on a really high level. Like Yamamoto said, they were the two first captains from the Shinigami Academy created by him.The fact that the Head Captain considered them his pride and joy should give the idea! I recently found your channel and I really enjoyed this reaction, you gained a new follower! I am looking forward to your next reactions :) PS: Shinsui is my favourite character, so I might be biased on that :P

I saw in the comments before that Kurapika's leader is voiced by the VA of Frankie from Onepiece (don't know that character though bec. I haven't seen that anime). To be fair, Dalzollene (Kurapika's leader) had to call the mafia to turn over Uvo to them, his only mistake is he didn't think that the phantom troupe already infiltrated the mafia headquarters. And yea, Shalnark (the smiley Armin look alike is a pro hunter, the only hunter in the troupe). Also, the # on their spider tattoos is not about their rankings, it's just their ID in the troupe. Hisoka is #4 not bec. he's the 4th strongest but bec. he defeated the former #4. Can't wait for the next episode, my fav episode of this arc ❤

If u wanna see Kurapika's training, u should watch the 1999 version. His struggle, his 1st meeting with Melody (obviously different from this version), it's all there. Also, you're the 1st reactor I've seen who recognized that Melody is a woman which is great. Other reactors just insulted her appearance.

In the manga, Hisoka literally takes a bite out of his arm, chews and all. Also yes, Kastro is dead as fuck, that's why there's no count. And yes, Hisoka is a Phantom Troupe member (you can call them the Spiders as you were doing, that's another name for them anyway) but as said at the end, he's only doing it to hunt them down for fun.

@@NickPlaysReacts There's few differences between them. Mostly some censorship like that, especially early on but still a bit later so it's a very similar experience. I can name a few important changes though: Episode 1 is kind of gutted so that we can get to the hunter exam faster but we lose important context because of it (which is why most people tell new watcher to watch the 1999 anime version of episode 1 before the 2011 anime, or at least read chapter 1 of the manga) Then there is the second round of the hunter exam where they have to make sushi before hunting boars, that was a funny bit with no one but Hanzo even knowing what Sushis are (cause he's the only one from Japan xD). It's fun but not super important. Finally the anime tends to make Ging sounds cooler than he really is. That's a bit annoying cause the manga portrayal is better overall. Overall, not a huge difference, this is a faithful adaptation, like FMA: Brotherhood for example (which has a similar episode 1 problem, seriously, I would advise anyone watching FMAB to skip the first episode entirely, it's filler and it spoils the story). The real huge difference of course is that the manga continues after the anime ends, especially with one of the most hyped up moment in the entire series.
