I agree. When I competed in horse dressage, I filmed myself all the time. I either needed my trainer to see what I couldn't see or I needed a camera and a camera is a darn site cheaper!

If you aren’t filming your workouts in the gym (or at home) then you are honestly missing a wee trick. ⠀ ⠀ Just blasting through your workout on your own is great and all, but there isn’t much in the way of feedback.⠀ ⠀ You could be lifting like shit.⠀ ⠀ You might not be pushing yourself as hard as you could be.⠀ ⠀ How would you know that without someone else telling you or without filming what you’re doing and watching it back later??⠀ ⠀ Building muscle is about a lot more than just lifting the weight.⠀ ⠀ You really need to focus on your form to make sure you’re getting the most out of each lift as well as preventing injury caused by lifting with shitty form. ⠀ ⠀ On top of that filming your sets allows you to see where you might be leaving some potential gains on the table. ⠀ ⠀ While some sets may feel tough, more often than not you stop WAY before you’ve hit your limit.⠀ ⠀ When you watch your video back later on you should be able to see a noticeable difference between your first and last reps. ⠀ ⠀ If they all look really smooth then you need to either up the weight or add in more sets/ reps. ⠀ ⠀ The key to building muscle is to push yourself close to failure…..and by failure I mean physically unable to do even one more rep.⠀ ⠀ It’s much easier to get to this point in a gym setting with heavier weights available, but you can still achieve it working out from home using lighter weights or bodyweight. ⠀ ⠀ So next time you’re working out, crack out your camera and film some of your sets to see where you can improve or maybe push yourself that wee bit more. ⠀ ⠀ And if you’ve no idea what to look for just send it over to me in the DMs and I’ll have a wee peek. ⠀ ⠀ Now go get some gainzzzzzz 💪💪💪⠀ ⠀ #stengthtraining #strengthcoaching #strengthcoach #personaltrainer #onlinefatlosscoach #onlinetrainer #buildingmuscle #jackeddads #fatlossformen #weightlossformen⠀ ⠀

Im a 51 year old over weight woman and have been daft and signed up for Nice Marathon … yes, a whole Marathon 🥴🥴 not trained for it yet 😂 its the first week In November so probably aint gonna happen … ill cheer on the others 😂 plan was to get the weight off snd get back to my Running. Nice video man! The winflo lineup is a great shoe at a budget price I had the 9 and have the 11. I find the 9 more comfortable than the 11 actually. The 9 is pretty much the same as the 10s so they will put in some good work for you. Keep up the great work 👊

The deadlift is an awesome exercise….one of my favourites in the gym. 💪 They work the entire body 💪 They strengthen your lower back 💪 They improve your core strength and stability 💪 They build your entire posterior chain (back of your body) 💪 And, when done properly, they REDUCE the likelihood of injury All of that and we never even mention how cool it looks when you lift a big heavy thing up off the deck. 😎 So how do you do this awesome exercise properly?? With 7 fairly simple steps… 1. Set your feet about hip width under the bar with your shins about 1 inch away from the bar 2. Bend over and grab the bar with your hands just outside the line of you knees 3. Bend your knees until your shins touch the bar (don’t let the bar roll forward) 4. Stick your arse out and lift up your chest to lock out your back 5. Think about pushing the ground away with your legs as you stand up tall. 6. Hinge at you hips first to lower the bar back down 7. Repeat steps 4-6 for the desired amount of reps. Once you feel comfortable with the technique you can start slowly increasing the weight and building your strength. Was this helpful?? Amazing effort mate! Don't worry about the finish time not being what you wanted, that headwind from 8.5km to the finish just drains ya so much and definitely not a fast one because of it 😫. Marathon and ultra is definitely completely fair goals to have man you'll smash them 💪. Id suggest the long runs during your training block building up to over the half marathon distance or at least longer time on feet than you plan to run on race day. That will help later in the half when it gets tough. My long runs for half training are approx 24-25km and around 2hrs training for a 1:25-1:30 half so some long runs around 2-2:30 at an easier effort will definitely help build that endurance and strength for late in races 😊 Just posted my Scottish half vid last night. That head wind was a killer, man, really slowed me down a lot, I was flying up to that point and my legs didn’t really start fading till the last couple of miles. . I'm sure a lot of others felt the pinch a lot earlier that day 😫😂 Yeah It was tough to understand the audio at points but my vids are like that too and just like anything we will get better over time. My partner just bought me a mic setup for my bday so fingers crossed I can figure that out and get crisper audio too 🤷😆

These are the kind of moronic videos that have people going round in circles when i comes to losing weight. . If a person is desperate enough they will try pretty much anything to help them solve their problems….even if that means pouring coffee up your own arse hole. . I know you want to lose weight as fast as possible, and all of these hacks seem super enticing. . You can get the results you want with lottle to no effort on your part. . Unfortunately none of that shit is ever gonna work long term. . You will regain anything you’ve lost and itll just be another thing you’ve tried that hasn’t worked. . There is no substitute for hard work, my friend. . Instead of looking for more hacks, lets just focus on dialling in the basics and get good at them over time. . If you did that for the next 6 mobths to a year you could drop easily 50-100lbs depending on how much you have to lose. . And the beauty is you would learn the habits you need to keep it off for the rest of your life so that you wouldn’t need to worry about any silly fat loss fads ever again. . 🔥 LEG WORKOUT 🔥 . Give this a wee go on your next leg day. . 1️⃣ Jefferson culrs: 3 sets | 10 reps. . 2️⃣ Back squats: 4 sets | 10 reps. Full range of motion, slow controlled reps. . 3️⃣ Alternating Reverse Lunges: 3 sets | 16 reps (8 each leg). 4️⃣ DB Romanian Deadlifts: 3 Sets | 12 Reps. . 5️⃣ Hip Thrusts: 3 Sets | 12-15 reps. 6️⃣ Body weight calf raises: 3 sets | 30 reps. Lean against a wall to get a deeper range of motions…slow controlled reps (forgot to film). . I would usually add in some seated hamstring curls but i was a wee but short on time so left them out. . There are loads of different ways that you can go about losing weight… . But if fat loss is your goal then there is only one way to make that happen. . You need to be in a consistent calorie deficit over a period of time. . Regardless of what diet you opt into they are all ginna work off this same principle. . The problem is most of the diets you keep opting into are absolutely SHITE!!!. . They are based on massive restrictions that are totally unrealistic and bot even slightly enjoyable. . And if you don’t enjoy your diet, ive got some news for ya… . YOU’LL NEVER STICK IT!!! . A much better approach is to track your calories eating foods you actually enjoy, making sure you eat plenty of protein (1g per centimetre in height is a great place to start). . Do that for the next 6 months and watch the magic happen. . I use apple cider vinegar to avoid insulin resistance. I try to avoid processed foods. I'm getting old now so do parkrun. But you are correct in you just need to eat less calories than you consume.

How do you smash your legs with just 5 exercises. . Just like this… . 4x5 Barbell squats. . 3x16 Alt reverse lunges. . 3x12-15 Romanian Deadlifts. 3x12-15 Sissy squats. . 4x8-12 seated leg curls (not filmed). . Work with a weight that brings you close to failure at the end of each set. . If you aren’t pushing yourself to that point you will not see and growth in the muscle. . If your legs aren’t shaking like a shitting dog by the end of this session then you need to up the weights. . You really only need a handful of exercises to get the most out of your muscles. . Don’t do this if you want to get in great shape.. . Everyone thinks the answer is to diet hard and restrict all the foods you love while crusifying yourself with exercise. . How many reps does it take to build muscle in the gym?? . While every rep range has the potential to facilitate muscle growth. . Typically working within the 8-12 rep range is where most folks will experience the biggest gains. . But…. . Regardless of what rep range you work in, you need to make sure that you are challenging your muscles. . Without the right amount of stimulation, nothing will grow. . If your first rep and your last rep look exactly the same, then its time for you to up the ante a wee bit, my friend. . This will serve 2 adults and a hungry 6 year old….just double up a bit if you need to feed more folks. . 8 pork sausages. 2 rashers of bacon. Frozen veg of your choice (I used mixed veg, peppers and mushrooms). . Tomato purée. BBQ sauce. Honey. Garlic granules. Piri piri salt. Paprika. Chilli powder. . Spaghetti. . Serve on a bed of spinach (optional) . I don’t really measure out my food so I’ve no idea how many calories are in this….if i were to hazard a guess I’d say around 600 with about 25/30g of protein. . Super tasty…..enjoy.

Kids being off school isn’t an excuse to sit about doing bugger all… . Here’s a great wee session you can do at home, and maybe even get the kids involved. . Make sure you save this one for later. . 5 rounds. . 10 Pull ups. 20 Push ups. 15 Deadlifts. 30 Squats. 40 Sit ups. . Then 2 rounds of… . 100 Lunges. 30 Hammer curls. 50 Diamond push ups. . Finish with 3 minutes of Burpees. . All in this took about 30 minutes and I was totally burst by the end…….Cameron even had a wee go on some of the rounds 💪💪 . Personally I would just stick with good ole whey, man. If your goal is to lose some fat then the type of protein you buy isn't really gonna make all that much of a difference, fat loss is determined by how many calories you eat. If you wanna lose some fat then you need to be in a caloric deficit, the protein should only be used as a supplement to help you get your protein intake up. What do you struggle most with at breakfast time?

@Iain Jack I work nightshift. I struggle with eating out heavy when I get up can't do eggs and bacon that sort of stuff. I know I need eat more protein and I could do a protein shake.
