Very good little tour of Pompei. I was there in 1966 as a teenager. Hope to return one day. Also Herculaneum is not to be missed.

Cheers pal, i am actually an educator in Poland as it happens, so I did this on my summer off. Like I say, send me a dm on Instagram or something and I can share the gpx files with you for a rainy fortnight in the future if you fancy giving it a bash. Glad it made you chuckle pal

This is very interesting to me as I've walked through this area 20+ times whilst doing the Elland Circular Walk(which starts and finishes at Greetland). It fascinates me, the whole story behind it. Summer of '22 some stone was being reclaimed but I think it's now left very much alone again.
@thenomadsteve Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's such a fascinating story. I do know they did reclaim some stone way back in the day, too, but the inaccessibility made it almost pointless, and it was abandoned. It's another gem of a period drama dying to be told on screen.

Exactly pal! I am still thinking of a new challenge. I have one in mind... but it is quite far fetched. I don't know how achievable it would be. A madhead like you could do it nay bother.
