I would highly agree with the Cash Based transfers as the most appropriate modality for humanitarian responses. This is because of the most advantageous aspect of giving the beneficiaries freedom to carry out their choice on what to buy, where and when. However, This can not be taken as a blue print since it must be based on the context and functionality of markets. We are currently looking at Multipurpose Cash Grants as a new trend to the Cash transfers.. With Cash transfer, we are yet to see more versions and concepts of approaches coming up. Let us embrace them with clear analysis and understanding.
