This right here is dumb advice please don’t do this

Sooo, someone who has little to no experience in trucking is giving advise to truckers. What could go wrong. Did he mention that in many states it is illegal to idle trucks and you can be fined? Also the more you idle 2007 and newer trucks with the DPF emission systems the more it is going to cost you in maintenance. The way the newer trucks are you can not bypass or skip the maintenance, the truck will give you a warning light and then derate and shut down. Then you have a tow bill and an expensive shop bill.

Your average semi truck burns 1 gallon per hour idling

Bad advice. While all brakes are on and the truck is in neutral, Set cruise control and deactivate it. Truck stays on.

Perhaps there's a way to completely deactivate the automatic shut off

How to fix that the RPM go up automatically in freightliner cascadia 2021?

Driving on a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia and this only works for about 10 minutes and then the truck shut down

Maybe keep brakes set and get a broom stick cut exactly the length just enough you get a tad bit higher idle and i mean say Cummings idol 600 RPM or so if you put the stick in 610 as long as the ECM thinks the driver has a Foot on the throttle. IF ANY NEW drivers out there new to driving dont do it as the video states.

Somehow I got a no idle shutdown overruled message and now my truck will stay on. But I don’t know how I did it

It's better to set fast idle than leave your parking brakes off. The red valve says "not for parking" for a reason.
