This sounds like Paul Rodgers on vocals for Led Zeppelin. It's very different from Robert Plant. But it is really good.

I really like this one. How many vocalist would not get lost in this. I think most. But clearly not Paul Rodgers.

Simon Phillips and Fernando Saunders (bass) on backing here, as they were in Jeff Beck's touring outfit at the time and later played on his set.

This band was interesting because of the quality of the players obviously. I heard them and they were definitely good. But like in h this video it was kind of strange. Jimmy played these quite intricate guitar licks and Rodgers singing his bluesy style it just didn't seem to fit together really. Don't get me wrong they were great players individually etc., but like a winning team it somehow was like they were competing for attention in the music rather than integrating into one "SOUND." I know that's abstract however with Phillips being somewhat jazzy, and Jimmy as well, there never seemed to be that hard driving beat and rhythm that existed either in Led or Bad Co. Maybe I was just used to that and sort of anticipated it, who knows, but it was like a team of All Stars that didn't really play together. Their musicianship was excellent indeed. I guess I just expected something else.

It doesn't matter how Bad Page is playing in this time period. This wasn't a headlining Page or Zeppelin gig. This was for charity. Page was being good just being there.

hasekdom He had just come off a 7 year Heroin Addiction. he clearly lost a lot of skill. Lets see how well you could play with 7 years of heroin in your system. Also, you can clearly tell he was trying his best and the audience weren't booing, they were cheering.

That I can understand totally .I liked some of the jazz stuff Beck has done but I was sure ready for him to get back to playing heavy rock music . When Beck isnt too caught up in all the wierd volume swells and his well known whammy bar obsession ,he can be pretty fantastic. But Jimmy Page is the player I d rather hear than anyone else . Page likes those rude ,obnoxious flanged out tones that are reaaly thick and weighty . Thats what I like to hear
