No the screw is not suppose to hold the tension. Unfortunately there is no other way but pretty soon in the branches are dry it will go loose again. By the way you don't keep the safety protocol to take the battery out and the to do any adjustments. Be careful

You cant mulch that tall of grass anyway, especially wet and sappy
@LawnMowingBusiness4 ай бұрын
I can with my Etesia LKX2 and my Husqvarna flail. The point of the longer video, of which this is a small section of, is that on jobs where you have no choice but to cut long wet grass, this electric mower is not a satisfactory replacement for petrol. If I stood around waiting for the grass to dry, I wouldn’t make any money. But thanks for the insight all the same.

With hedge cutting have u got a similar formula as to your grass cutting, I’ve had a couple of enquiries and visited site today, but I’m a bit stuck to how to price, thanks
@LawnMowingBusiness5 ай бұрын
Hi David, this was just my Lavender at home. I don’t do hedge cutting for customers. I would suggest you look at what your day rate is based on all the other previous calcs from the website and work it out from there, based on time estimates. You won’t get it right, but if you keep notes on how long everything takes, you will get better at pricing it in the future.

Great info. My discontinued honda gas mower could have bagged that. Would the Stihl do better with a bagger?
@LawnMowingBusiness8 ай бұрын
It does an OK job of bagging, but it never crams the bag full like my petrol mowers, it loosely throws the grass in, then clogs itself and stops. 🤷

Don’t worry, I pull up a stool and stare at the charger for hours every evening. It’s the highlight of my day. Sometimes I tag my wife in to take over if I need a break. If it gets too late, I take it to bed with me; it hates to be left alone.

That’s correct. I have 7 of the batteries, so I don’t need to charge during the day, just when I get in. I find it very useful but I still keep the AL500 in the van just in case I ever do need to charge on a job. 👍

Pretty much any mower would struggle with that as mentioned.

I think the point I was trying to make in some of my recent videos is that the Stihl doesn’t have enough reserve capacity for dealing with the really difficult jobs. I can’t rely on it, so I’ve given up with loading it on the van. Here’s my Etesia video for comparison: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqatlIZpiql0gpofeature=shared

It helps it to track straight when working on a side slope and also to get you out of a dip if a wheel starts spinning. I use it quite often.
