Can the twin mustang carry 4000 lb bomb load?, was it armed with 4 machine guns and 4 x 20mm cannon? Did it have a distinguished war record? I rest my case, mosquito hands down.

Unbelievable that you didn't mention that he escaped a German POW camp by stealing a FW-190. Huge part of his legend.

Just got home from a visit to D.C.; I was very dissapointed that the Air & Space museum was refurbishing the area where Voyager is, and it's not currently open to the public... 😕

They both have their ups and downs that kinda even them out B-24 was faster and had a higher payload while the B-17 could take more punishment which for a bomber is important So ima just go off of looks and say the B-17 is better In the end though the B-29 is the best WW2 bomber in almost if not every way

Fact: I actually flew For free on a Sunday with a pilot from the young eagles/ the EAA with a pilot and a Northrop Grumman test pilot’s son and PS the EAA/the young Eagles is in Camarillo airport and there is a World War II memorial Museum right next to it. oops never mind its in Wisconsin 😅😅😅

That is beautiful. And the cannons sticking out of the nose is my favourite detail on this plane. Let me ask, the things that look like air intakes on the tail boom, what are those for? It doesn’t look like they’re feeding air to anything.
