Looks like the outside aluminum shell is crushed you can see the fiberglass insulation but where is all the lemon juice? Looks like the actual tank is intact. If it is a Hazmat problem, where are the DOT required placards? Indian River got shafted on that off load.

I like the step by step and thanks for mentioning the residuals on the roads. I deal with hazardous material releases, and I thought about how that would be handled. Thank you for pointing out the importance of offloading versus up righting it loaded.

As I recall the acid clean up protocol...the material of choice is baking soda. If memory serves baking soda neutralizes both acid and base.

I've had to pull a couple of vehicles out of Lake Perris including a motorhome where they used the state parks dive team to hook it I also found it humorous that you said it was a fluid situation No pun intended right 😆

Typically depends on the jurisdiction, any big area with a dedicated dive team typically gets anal about water recoveries, around here we don't have a dive team we have to either take the swim ourselves or hire a dive team typically, Id have probably set up a rope between two anchors from one side of the stream to the next to tie into so no one gets swept away by the current and hopefully someone brought a change of clothes for after the swim lol.
