Fabulous video. Great to see Professor Goldman. I've been trying to get traction on this issue for some time and have also contacted Professor Goldman a number of times. I do wonder, when leverage become extortion? I chat with these defendants everyday. First of all, the dilligence is so poor, they assume accounts are foreign. Once the case gets going you see dismissals for accounts with US in the account name. Assuming theyve just realised they're not foreign. Even US citizens get caught up and end up paying because they do not realise they need to speak up and say they're wrongly named in the lawsuit. Plaintiff's claim defendants are unknown but then claim they're foreign. A lot of these accounts, you can easily find the sellers name and address and contact details, in order to attempt to establish who the defendant is.
