There is only "good and bad" music. Classical was the pop music of it's day. Pop of yesterday has become the "standards" of today. This duet proves it, superb composer and a stunning singer/composer working together to make magical music. RIP Michel a great loss to music and magical evenings listening or playing his music.

Dumbass' first exposure to Legrand's music would've been back in 1968, when Noel Harrison sang the English version Windmills of your Mind in the Thomas Crown Affair, composed by Legrand, who also sang the French version. As an international musician, he would've known it won an Oscar.

Sting is at heart a jazz singer

Michel Legrand is an eloquent and brilliant composer and pianist. However he is not an accompanist to singers - too busy with too many notes . Kudos to Sting for singing through it with as much grace as he could muster.

This is a very bad version of a wonderful song, with marvelous lyrics. Sting just does not do this song justice....If you want to hear how this song should be sung, check out Stacy Kent's version.

This song proves what an inferior, poor and ugly voice Sting has. That's what you get when you want to sing a ballad (or even Dowland songs!) but have the hoarse vocal cords of a town caller. He should shut up. Compare Sting with the true voices of Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, Eglebert Humperdinck. As for Legrand: an absolute master who sang with Maurane (and what a voice she had!).
