Hi, what did you use to hold the regulating arm and the click etc in place whilst sanding them?
@janborren12 ай бұрын
Hi Lerow, I was using my fingers. Not the best way as after a while they started to hurt quite a bit.

@@janborren1 I suppose that’s the obvious way haha! Thank you!

nice (only one single replaced !! lot of work for that one and to get back others) white product used ? specific rust remover ?
@janborren111 ай бұрын
thanks! It is a regular kind of silver polish
@harllenbrasil638311 ай бұрын
What is the name of the product you used to remove the rust?
@janborren111 ай бұрын
I find that silver polish is quite effective in removing rust. However, it's important to clean with caution and avoid rubbing too vigorously to prevent any damage to the rhodium plating

Great restoration. Impressive machining of tiny part. I’ve only machined ‘ginormous’parts for old fishing reels. Do some refurbishing of clunker timepieces. Never on a Rolex.
@janborren110 ай бұрын
thanks! it does not differ that much from larger movements, only some parts to handle with more care as the thinner and smaller they are, the more fragile they become ;) sounds fun to make parts for fishing reels @@ronl7131

would have been nice to see the completed watch from the front showing the dial and hands..

I was going to write the same thing. I was waiting to see the second hand ticking away

Would have loved to add that to the video but after discussing with the owner it was decided to leave it out of the video. The dial is beautiful too…

I love the tone of the instruments you make. I will have to ask to be added to the list of people who you will make one for! It will give me a chance to build up enough savings to buy it....how long is the waiting list?
