Just received mine yesterday (FW 13 Ryzen 7 series). And i couldn't agree more with him. the unboxing alone makes you want to get the laptop. that aside, its a bit pricey (still cheaper than macbook) but i feel happy about this laptop. just need to be bit more careful while assembling. Thanks to my friend who recommended this and Framework!!

This is normal for most modern laptops. I can easily trigger it with my phone resting on the palmrest.

My HP does the same thing. It's sensor is near ESC key. The only thing they could do is maybe place it at the center top of the keyboard chassis like most Dells

wow let me try this. When I try this exactly, I have two long recordings of audio and a bunch of video clips. I only see one video clip synced when on the timeline and the clips are all labeled yellow instead of blue for video and green for audio.

Received my Laptop 13 with an AMD Ryzen 7 in December, coincidentally the same day ZORIN OS 17 was released. Installation was a walk in the park, everything (including the fingerprint reader) works out of the box - quietly and stable. Updated to BIOS v3.05 meanwhile. Works quietly and reliably for 239 days now. Love design and handling, which are somewhere the best of both worlds of MacBook Air and DELL XPS. Framework's concept is great: Maintenance (such as cleaning out the dust once in a while) as well as the ability to repair (just think about the battery after some time) and upgrade is highly welcome. Also is the individual configuration of interfaces with the expansion modules. Never ever before have I experienced that feeling of freedom and ownership like now with my Framework Laptop 13. Best laptop experience ever. Kudos to the Framework team … keep upgrades, parts and accessories coming! Lots of potential not only for B2E, but also - if not even more - for B2B. Business customers just need to realize Framework's advantages.

Hey, just seconds into this video and I've noticed your speech impediment. Speech therapy is a thing and it works! I corrected my own speech impediment by googling the correct tongue movements for the letters I had difficulty with and adjusting my own tongue movement to match what I found online accordingly. I'd also repeat the correct pronunciation of the letter I had difficulty with in my head while also trying to mimic the proper tongue movements I found online. Doing this had me go from being bullied in elementary and early middle school to people complimenting me for having a "radio voice" past middle school. I'm not a licensed professional, I'm just trying to help you out. Anyway, I'm thinking about purchasing this laptop for college. Does that white keyboard backlight come stock with the laptop or is that the RBG module that you've just set to white? Thanks.

I use the Framework 13 AMD as my current daily driver & was using the Intel variant prior to that. I'm pretty content with this laptop!

I see you are running Windows 10 on the machine, have you noticed any compatibility issues with any programs? I mainly plan on it being my daily driver with some minor gaming, and hopefully a touchpad that has properly working precision drivers for gestures

the thing with battery draining incredibly quickly when closed is a notorious windows issue

I picked up one fairly recently to use as a bed computer. I was previously using a lenovo legion 5 17in. I saw the B stock DIY units on sale with the 1165G7 for 500usd and just couldn't say no. I already had the rest of the parts lying around so I thought, why not? I mean, they may call it B stock, but the thing was like new. I don't notice any issues with the screen in nightly use. I have the original glossy screen and I feel it gets dark enough at night. I'm with you on the battery life, and it's probably slightly worse for me as I have the original 55Wh battery. But I don't really use it on the go where I don't have ready access to power, and considering I can power the thing with my phone charger? No big. I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I doubt I'll need to upgrade it anytime soon, as I mostly use it to watch videos and read before passing out, and I need very little power for that. But I'll certainly be tempted when the new Ryzen chips hit eventually. I'd love to see it get an oculink port in the future, along with the usb4/thunderbolt. I expect there will be an oculink adapter for the 16in model, but it would be nice to see the 13 get something like that as well.

You only mention the heat & loud noise issue briefly at 8:47 but it's a big priority for many people (being fanless is a big selling point of MacBooks). Hope Framework fixes this issue
