A couple months ago I thought guys that were into these things were a little wacko. Then for some reason I bought a 140 H3 and think they are pretty slick. 50 years ago they thought it would be cool to use hydraulics to raise and lower the mower deck while you lit your cigarette with the on board lighter and 50 years later its still cool.

Check out all the attachments that you could get with them back in the day as well, they went all out!

That is so cool that must have an auxiliary pump? Trying to figure out how you're getting all of it work on that 140. I have the H1 and I see guys putting buckets on them I wish there was a tutorial

Yes, the hydraulic pump is right underneath the front PTO, kinda lines up like how a blower does (running off a belt) except the (Johnson) pulley keeps it constantly engaged, doesn't run off the tractors hydraulic system at all.

Great tractor you have! I just got one, a Cube Cadet with the same bucket on it. I believe it a 69’. And I need to replace the seals in the rams to the bucket. Have you ever had to do that? And if so could you tell me where you got the replacement gaskets? Thanks a lot!

Thank you, You can find them on ebay under "garden tractor loader cylinder rebuild kit" for $140.00 Mine leaks a little, but not enough to warrant a rebuild. If I were to do it, I'd go through a company who specializes in rebuilding hydraulic cylinders myself, but to each their own. Congrats on your Cub, these old classics with the loaders are really hard to find and getting very expensive nowadays .

Cool video, I two 140's myself, one with a loader and the other with a blade and tiller.

Pulled the PTO off this one to put on the '74 w/ loader to till in spring, this one is my worker, I use it to blade, snowblow w/ 3pt weight slabs in the winter, come summer it'll cultivate and it'll plow in the fall... I've had tons of vintage garden tractors in the past, but have become addicted to the 140s.

Beautiful tractor, I love these things, simple and yet very beefy and there were a ton of attachments for them.
