I remember this on the old late night Classic Cliffhangers TV where I grew up. I was a kid and these old shows were on TV late at night on the weekends. "Who knows? Only the Shadow knows for sure!"

I loved this show. I remember watching each episode of Petticoat Junction. I was infatuated with trains as a young boy. I was 4 years old when this show aired in 1964. It was simpler times, a feeling of security and innocence as I sat in front of the TV waiting for that whistle to blow at the beginning of the show. I start Medicare in two months and reflect on my life and family wondering how the times could change and go so quickly. Watching this again is like being there just yesterday. It is a nostalgic feeling to watch this show again with a touch of melancholy. I dearly loved it and still do to this day. I wish today's youth could realize what a treasure this show is and how if reflects a golden time in our lives that has gone forever.
