The 3 Violins are surrounded by an Aluminum Bow Wheel which spins to bow the strings like a Hurdy Gurdy Wheel. The Violins also have Mechanical Tangents that press the strings onto the Fingerboards to change their pitch.

This organ was built in 1958 (don't be fooled by the accordeons, they come from the Decap "Kannonier"), the Luise was built sometime around 1952-1955.

Lieber Orgelfan!

7:12 This is what the Bow Wheel looks like up close, it's strands of Violin Bow hair tied onto a big cast iron ring from the pins that anchor it in place. It works the same way as a Hurdy Gurdy Bow Wheel because it spins to bow the strings.

It looks like the Hupfeld Phonoliszt Violina but it's actually an extended version as it includes a Pipe Organ, a Reed Organ, and even Drums. Like the Violina you have a fully Playable 88 Note Piano and also an Automatic Violin Trio.
@RockStarOscarStern634 Жыл бұрын
It uses the same Rolls as the Hupfeld Phonoliszt Violina but here it's 2 Violin Trios.

Here's the lyrics of the song Oh, How We Danced on the night we were wed We vowed our true love, tho' a word wasn't said The world was in bloom there were stars in the skies except for the few that were there in your eyes *Dear, as I held you so close in my arms Angels were singing a hymn to your charms Two hearts gently beating were murmuring low (please comment, share) "My darling, I love you so" The night seemed to fade into blossoming dawn The sun shone anew but the dance lingered on Could we but relive that sweet moment sublime We'd find that our love is unaltered by time *Dear, as I held you so close in my arms Angels were singing a hymn to your charms Two hearts gently beating were murmuring low (please comment, share) "My darling, I love you so"

DerOrgelfan, are you gonna plan a comeback someday? Your videos were so much fun to see and see all those amazing instruments. I work at a museum you've been to many times before and it's always so nice to see older instruments that we don't play, or don't use anymore. :)
@DerOrgelfan2 жыл бұрын
Retrozilla, that is so kind! :) I don't plan on a comeback with new content; mechanical instruments is something I regularly consume via the Internet. There is some content from 2010 highlighting certain instruments in Sinsheim and Speyer which I plan to add. Moreover, I loosely consider redoing my existing collection in a reorganized way that reflects useful possibilities KZbin provides by now. Tried to find reference material to doublecheck. But the various interpretations from the 80s to recent years have quite a different, slow and cosy rhythm and a different melody, e.g. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYGoc4KOqaynZpY (1984), kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoqVq2aue5Vkrqc (2003) and another interpret kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5LWlpWfZaaph7M (2016?). That is very kind, thank you! :) I have quite some material from 2010 produced at Sinsheim, Speyer and Rüdesheim. But I want to overhaul my whole collection and reorganize it as a whole. Existing videos will be removed from the search index probably and linked to in the video descriptions. Or I will just mark them as outdated in the title. Not sure, yet. Admittedly, I have not been actively visting mechanical organ museums in the last nine years. Especially the organ states at Sinsheim and Speyer have not yet improved significantly and do not justitfy another visit. Yesterday's discovery is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3qkYpuce9plg5I It is sad to see that even after rebuildiung the organ at another place, it still plays like that. :( Have you been to Sinsheim or Speyer?
@figoff21732 жыл бұрын
@@DerOrgelfan I would be happy to see some of your archives from 2010. I haven’t been to Sinsheim or Speyer since travel has become rather difficult lately, which is why I resort to watching your videos. It’s also very disappointing to see the state of the organs there. They desperately need refurbishment. When you organize your channel, may I suggest marking the existing videos as outdated instead of removing them, as I still like to watch them from time to time. It’s great to know you’re still around!

@@DerOrgelfan True, they hardly seemed to restore "De Nachtegaal"! I hoped it might sound like how it did back in the early 1980s LP of it, but no luck. Although for some reason recent recordings of the organs in Sinsheim + Speyer seem very hard to come by (and maintenance is really going down) I did find quite an interesting video from 1991, when some instruments now in Speyer were still in Sinsheim: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn23d2Rpp9uqjJo

@@MechanicalMusicTravels De Nachtegaal sounded promising in this German public media contribution: www.swr.de/swraktuell/baden-wuerttemberg/mannheim/tanzorgel-sinsheim-100.html The played boogie woogie section hides the "difficult" registers. :) I have downloaded and stored the embedded mp4 file, as it might be taken offline in the future. Great hint, thank you so much! I haven't checked for new Sinsheim and Speyer content at the end of December, so I have not yet come across this video recorded in March 1991.
