That's why I love football. Skilled play is rewarded. If you got good players that can dribble good and goot shooters who can line up for a pass and score as the forwards dribble the ball up, you will score goals. It's just a question of time at that point. If you pass the ball around between your defenders, the refferee will see that, count how many minutes he feels the game was just about "passing the ball" and he will just add it as extra time at the end of the game. Sure, that's not as entertaining, but it's still not the optimal strategy. Offense is the best way in football. The only problem is that you need good players. I feel like England could've won if they passed the ball off to Kane abit more. The ammount of times spain passed the ball to Williams? Yeah.. no wonder they won. You just gotta go for it. that's the game in a nutshell and what makes it fun to watch, because the rules make it so that the most skilled team will almost always win.
