Why do you have to buy a gas conversion for the Tron 7.0? Why doesn't Tron just make a gas-ready 7.0. Buying a $1000 Tron 7.0 kit then buying a $700 gasser conversion is a lot of money to spend when Tron really should just sell a gas-ready 7.0.

I was flying great till I followed these exact and everything went haywire as the several comments below suggested. I've been at it two days trying to tune it back to where it was and finally results is a snapped a linkage boom. On takeoff it would veer hard right, the swashplate simply would never level, no matter the mode I had it in or the servo re-calibration. Now I am forced to wait till my Tx16s arrives next week to try and re do all this from scratch. Goosky made a great product IF and I mean ONLY IF you don't mess with the RTF! Their documentation has so many gaps in how to work with the device its pathetic. These people design something then assume everyone can figure it out on their own. There are simply very few poorly made guides out there with many holes in their documentation process.
@Adean64034 ай бұрын
awe i'm pummed to hear that. I've had several and change the settings on each one. Did you also trim the swash and now the swash is not level?
@kajuta2404 ай бұрын
I did get things sorted out somewhat once I had the tx16s in hand.... spent a weekend learning about tuning pitch throttle gains and expo with chat gpt. Two broken tailbooms and a split swash plate aligner later; discovered how to reset the gyro. If I let go in stable mode, I got things drifting left and to the rear but somewhat stable enough to now tweak and hover in place when I pitch forward and to the right. I'm a noob for sure but this has forced me into a steep learning curve :) I'll post back when I have another milestone of success😂
@kajuta2404 ай бұрын
Its now flying true and level, I made a measuring shim out of a toothpick and used it to evenly level the swashplate all around using the servo trim settings. I also re-calibrated the gyro...doing it repeatedly seems to have compounding positive results as each subsequent leveling session had less and less drift. I think the whole episode came from me trying to mimic you without fully understanding what i was doing and why, then trying to re-correct and going from bad to worse. I have to own that; hopefully others read this and dont repeat my folly. This is baby's first helicopter, super pumped about this hobby...but it really is something that has a steep learning curve!

Hi. Do i need to upgrade to pro version to get the cyclic type?
@iwontreplybacklol74817 ай бұрын
Better to get a bigger model. More stable and better visibility. Is it more expensive up front? Yes, but my experience tells me after crashing the little heli much more than you would a big one, in the end it probably is a wash and a whole lot of extra hassle and frustration in the end. Also this hobby aint cheap! Better get used to spending money and risking it all every flight. Also, Even as a experienced rc pilot myself, these small helis can be a handful even to me and can get away very very quick and become a speck. For a beginner once it gets away from them, it's in the dirt. Just get at least a 500 and practice on the sim. These days it is insanely cheap and easy to learn to fly RC Helis. I started two and a half decades ago, spent the equivalent of $2k USD on a 30 size heli with a non heading hold gyro (much harder to control) that I had to learn how to build all on my own and program and then put on trainer sticks and scoot it around because sims were still basic as basic can be and was very expensive. Now in hindsight, the few crashes I did have in the beginning probably wouldn't of happened had I trained on a sim first, even though it was super basic polygon shapes.
@iwontreplybacklol74817 ай бұрын
I will also add this, I saw a kid who practiced for 6 months straight on the sim and first day out on a 50 size heli was inverted the first flight..the sim is the absolute most valuable tool one can get, hands down full stop.
@iwontreplybacklol74817 ай бұрын
Also one more add, back about a decade ago when the MCpx was out there was this guy who was trying to get better, but felt stuck and was about ready to give up the hobby. We all finally talked him past the fear of spending the money to get a bigger heli and later on he thanked us because he realized how much the small heli was holding him back.

I love my S1. My favorite helicopter because I can fly it in my yard daily, which I i do, and it's capable of any maneuver that I can throw at it. Highly recommended, even for beginners (with basic flight sim experience).
@iwontreplybacklol74817 ай бұрын
They say perfect practice makes perfect. With little helis you are getting good at them, but the translation to handling bigger helis with more mass does not transfer correctly and will possibly build bad habits that would be hard to break.

I just need that part. I do need that trainer mode as I am returning to the hobby and will be also spending time on the simulator. Thank you for your time.
