I'm currently driving my 2012 Chev Volt for Uber, but lyft rejected it (needed 5 seatbelts). I call the rider when they request, just to make sure they don't have 4 or more passengers.

+Pedro Avila Hi Pedro, no. I leased this from the Chevy dealer. I highly doubt that Uber would offer a Volt. The back seat is small and there are two usable back seats. No middle back seat. No middle back seat belt in 2015 and older for sure.

I believe it's up to the local regional manager. It's frustrating though because 5% of you trips will require 4 seats and the app says nothing about available seats.

I saw a new Volt with an Uber sticker. The back seat is very small though. Volt is not allowed by Uber in New York. New York Uber does not allow any subcompact cars either.
