This was a beautiful interview. I was truly moved by the love his parents put into telling the story of Fr. Ryan. I was able to get a bird’s eye view of the beauty that he brought to the lives of others by saying yes to the priesthood. His love for God, the Catholic Church, and continuing to say yes to God despite illness was very evident. Fr. Ryan definitely has a lasting legacy. Legacy is the beauty of a life well lived for God.

I relate to his story so much!! When I heard someone say in October that the Catholic Church is the church Jesus established I was floored and also tried to prove her wrong. I dove into Christian history for hours a day and there was no way I could remain Protestant. 3 months later I'm now in RCIA!

I believe he is. 30 yrs ago in college, it happened during a prayer session. 7 people. 3 Spanish, 4 English. The Spanish girl had asked for prayer for her sick father. After a minute of prayer, one other girl started in fluent Spanish, prophesying how the father would get healed and saved. The daughter ( Brunilda Cancela), fell on her crying weeping. The rest of us were shaking, so scared and filled with wonder. It occurred in the CCNY, IVCF club office, 1988? The girl who God used, still my friend today, does not remember it. I saw it !!!

I absolutely agree everybody deserves to be treated with dignity however immigrants still need to be brought back to their origin country 🤷♂️ sorry if you live in Texas you know how bad the border problem is becoming even ALL of my Mexican friends are fed up with it especially since their families moved here legally, worked their asses off paid their taxes and got no handouts it’s a spit in the face of all legal immigrants that people are cutting the line, not paying taxes and being treated better than our homeless veterans that actually fought for our country. The number of undocumented immigrants in the United States is between 11-22 million and the US has spent 150 BILLION on the border crisis during the Biden administration. enough is enough the United States has an obligation to their citizens not people who illegally come into this country

Intriguing how the prayer most commonly associated with him wasn't actually found in his writings (it was first published in 1912), yet it was so widespread that it stuck well with most people despite the erroneous attribution.
