My theory about Vic in the Penguin is that he won’t die, but he will be used by the Penguin and turned into a perfect henchmen: cold, ruthless and no longer innocent. His descent into darkness will be Penguin’s great sin. I think Oz truly loves Vic the only way he knows how: like his mother loves him. And Vic’s success will be his downfall.

I didn't like the movie particularly because I felt it didn't fit the energy of the first movie. I don't think it's a bad movie, but I hold the opinion that it's not a good Joker movie, and especially not a good Joker movie to follow up the critically acclaimed one. I don't disagree with the boys completely, they can hold their opinions, and it may be a great movie separated from Joker, but I can't agree with the idea that this is the best way they could have made a sequel.

@@talkinginmycar3432 thanks for the comment! i agree that there is a tonal shift from the first and the second movie, and i can definitely understand how that is off putting for many people, but for me that isn’t necessarily a bad thing and instead something i find exciting, especially with sequels feeling so similar to their predecessors these days. it does splinters off into a story that is not typical of a joker story, but that is something that i didn’t mind since it was able to “yes and” itself and carry itself with a solid intention and direction, but you are right it is a different side of the joker we’ve seen and arguably a different character entirely. i do see an argument for this movie’s to be named something else with different characters (if they wanted to tell this particular story) and so i do understand the frustration of them exploring it this way. thank you again for the comment, appreciate the commentary dude, thanks for listening! -luis (pdn)
