Use a Dremel tool to grind the two plastic rings off, cut the piece that goes across to the inboard hoses and then use a 3/4" tee and some short pieces of 3/4" hose to repair this thing quickly and cheaply. These engines are a pain to burp. It helps if you get the nose of the truck up.

@speedy94-11 ай бұрын
I’ve been mixing paint for years, lol. Didn’t really have a proper ratio. If you’re using the cheap purple harbor freight gun just mix it to the consistency a tad thicker than milk. You want it to flow well, it won’t lay smooth at first but as it dries it should level out a bit. Spray it in light coats. Hopes this helps, best of luck.

The biggest mistake I see everyone doing when putting in a spray liner, or roll-on liner is they fell to apply etching primer to exposed metal. At some point, it will rust and rust through the liner. The etching primer is designed to stop metal corrosion and ensure correct bonding between the metal and the product. Without it, moisture will develop between the product and the metal.
@speedy94- Жыл бұрын
I’m the video I did apply a clear primer, which is recommended by the manufacturer of the bedliner. The metal was properly prepped and then primed. The Jeep has been at the beach since spraying the liner and has had no issues with bonding. Thanks for watching
@jacoley Жыл бұрын
@@speedy94- I don't disagree with you about the clear primer, which can be used over the base coat. Did the instructions mention anything about prepping exposed metal? Most big stores applications like Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon, or eBay products do not go into detail about properly protecting bare metal. If it did then the chances that people would buy their product drops. Remember these products are set up for a DIYer,. As a former body guy and owner of a body shop, you have to apply epoxy or self-etching primer on bare metal due to its anti-corrosive properties to prevent rusting. if not it will rust, it's just a matter of time. I'm not bashing the video or that you want to help others out. We would get these DIY projects in all the time and every time it was due to a lack of properly protecting the bare metal. When doing these DIY projects bed liners, you only have to remove the clear coat. The bedliner product then uses the base coat as a bonding agent to ensure that the two products adhere together. This is not hating on your video or the fact that you want to help others out. Though I would be surprised in 2 to 3 years if rust has not started bleeding through the liner, no fault to you but failure on the product's fault for not properly instructing its customer.
