He may need help. If he wasn’t afraid of so many people with skis. Animals come sometimes for some kind of help, or if they have rabies. Also if someone was feeding them before, they get used to human presence. At the end of the day wild animals have less and less space for themselves.

Never run from a bear. But if you do, be nice by stopping to let it catch it's breath if it gets tired 😮 .
@frankstared2 күн бұрын
I have never heard anyone who's lived around bears suggest that you ever run from a bear (or ski). Not only does it make you prey to the bear but habituates the bear to thinking humans are all potential prey. Use noise, make yourself look larger, and best yet...avoid them in the first place.
@SarahMonahan-o5d2 күн бұрын
Once you got the bear away from everyone, I don't think I'd wait for him to catch up to you. The Bears seem to be having quite a bit of fun, but what does he do once he catches you? Do you really want him to?

Wow quanto siete ignorate!

NEVER feed a bear... Bear that have been fed in the past associate humans with food, and will become aggressive towards the next human it crosses path with. In Canada they say: ''a fed bear is a dead bear" because bears that are not being scared of humans and show unusual behavior will be killed by the authorities to protect the human population. So be responsible and NEVER feed the wildlife

You believe it was running after because it wanted a meal right . Well, It was simply just a friendly curious bear, not even fully grown up bear, it was bored and lonely and wanted to play. Perhaps it was looking for a friend.
@vanhelmen31684 күн бұрын
@CactusCake-k9n As a bear, you risk your life sneaking up to a group of the most dangerous predator on earth, to make friends and to play? I see, you would've been a super tasty friend to that bear. That's for sure! 🤣
@CactusCake-k9n4 күн бұрын
@@vanhelmen3168 According to you it seems like bears eat everything that moves.
@vanhelmen31683 күн бұрын
@CactusCake-k9n Imagine you live out there in the wild, on your own. Every day could be your last day. You don't have a fridge. You don't have a supermarket, neither a car, nor a rifle. What are your intentions? To fool around and to play? Or to eat what you can get to stay alive? Sure, our intentions are probably not a lot different to the bear's intentions. But what you are missing is to consider the very different life situations we are in. What the bear actually does here is to approach cautiously if it's worth to start an attack or if it's probably not worth the risk to possibly get injured. This young specimen is perhaps not familair with humans and unsure about if it will get away if it's going to kill one of "these". On the other hand it's possible that he lost his elusiveness from humans as people fed him before. Either way, it's a wild bear which is definitely not seeking people to play.
@CactusCake-k9n3 күн бұрын
@@vanhelmen3168 I'm not saying you're wrong, because you Do have a point. Of course one should be cautious, i would have kept my distance too, but i know way to many bears and other animals are victims of bullets they should have never received caused by human uncontrollable unnecessary automatic fear.

They often feign being submissive to trick their pray and can very suddenly and aggressively attack. Plenty of videos showing examples of that. This one might have been a young and curious one looking for handouts, but you never know their true intent.
