Hey Brian, Ola Englund recently bought a super stable camera with face tracking and lots of cool features, maybe you could ask him what camera it is, Cool videos you have made in Japan, I love to watch them. I wish that I could show you the pictures of the ESP's I saw in Frankfurt, but they're fotos on paper and I don't have a scanner at the moment, maybe I can find the reaper carved V ESP online, with the coffin flightcase, I'll try to do that, when I've got some more time to do so.🤘😎🤘 ;o) 🐅
@BrianBower15 күн бұрын
@@TigerIndy Oh yeah, I was struggling. The second part is a bit better. It’s a GoPro. Most of my videos are done with Nikons. Just seeing ESP’s is exotic to me because you don’t really see those where I live. Maybe at big shows (COB back in the day). Seeing a few E-II’s though. They’re quite expensive so not many would be around. Maybe the same where you live??

@@BrianBower I can only find second hand ESP's where I live, they're altso very expensive, but sometimes very old and in mint condition, or if I want a new ESP, I can order them from specialized shops here in Europe, but they're altso pricey. ;o) 🐅

I upgraded one. the playability is great so I replaced the tuners and bridge pickup. big difference. The nut is a cheap piece of plastic with deep grooves which stuck a lot. some sort of nut lubrication helped with that, but still not as nice as a higher quality guitar. I paid $50 for the guitar and another $150 on parts and now take it to every show as a backup guitar. If someone steals it from the bar, I"m only out $200.
@BrianBower20 күн бұрын
And for that 150, you have a much nicer guitar. They do the job. Hard on the back though

I have one of these guitars with those crappy tuners. Here’s the deal- Modern sealed gear tuners use a 10 mm hole. Those sh!t tuners we had use a 8mm hole, which are considered a vintage style tuner. Vintage 8mm tuners use a (push in style bushing). Modern 10mm tuners have a nut and washer. There seems to be only the two sizes too. It’s either a 10mm hole or an 8mm hole. If you follow this rule of thumb there will be no surprises when you go to swap tuners. I bought Gotoh vintage style locking tuners for mine. They dropped right in the original bushings. Gotoh even gives you a special little punch tool to remove your old bushings if you want to change them. If reading this, follow what I’m saying and you won’t have to ream the holes. Order the correct size tuner for your headstock. Again, it’s either a modern 10mm or a vintage 8mm. The Gotoh locking tuners I bought on Amazon were only 50 dollars. I bought the vintage style locking tuners for my telecaster too. They both look exactly like old school tuners. There is no thumb screws in the back of the tuner. The mechanism they use is quite clever the way they designed it. I also recommend getting a digital veneer caliper if your going to do your own guitar work. It’s super easy and handy to use. Get one on Amazon for like 25 or 30 dollars. Okay good luck everyone 👌

I just bought a used epi LP special 2 simply as a learning platform to putz around on. It was cheaper than going with a kit from harley benton or something like that, and all the upgrades can be used on something else or resold. Should be fun.

Oh yes! You’ll have fun with it for sure. It’s an easy enough platform.

Wish I had seen your video before I did the same damn thing! We received ours today and did an unboxing video (I'm glad we did) and it was just like what happened to you exactly, GoPro box, documentation and then there was that Akaso. We put in a return and have sent it back...so we'll see but I told them I have the unboxing video.
@BrianBowerАй бұрын
Oh man that sucks!! Are you in Canada? I wonder if it’s the same group of people doing this. It’s such a crappy thing. The good news is Amazon will take it back. It’s still disappointing. I got my GoPro at the source a few weeks later. Sorry about that. I hated having to make this video. I hope more people see this. Also screw the people who scam like this. It’s horrible.
@Reenaj2666Ай бұрын
@@BrianBower Yes, Nova Scotia. We wonder if they got a whole shipment like that? Swapped at the source maybe. We took it back to Canada Post right away so now we wait. But, I'm glad my husband did a video of opening it. We'll wait for the refund and then I'll get it straight from GoPro for same price. I think it's horrible that people can do this to someone else. Usually Amazon is pretty good but we've found buying electronics is sketchy...we buy our android phones from Amazon and the one I got for myself didn't have a phone in the box. Empty. Couldn't do a return with an empty box so I had to call them to work it out. They did give me a refund. Just never know with electronics...they must have a massive theft problem at their warehouses? While I'm not happy this happened to either of us, I feel slightly better knowing it didn't just happen to us. I'm glad no one was around to hear all the swearing today (wasn't me lol).

@@Reenaj2666 same province as me! Yeah it can be a gamble on there. Also beware of grey market items as well. Those are usually from third parties. I have a camera that was grey market but it works great. The worst with these GoPros is that they’re shipped and sold by Amazon. It’s due to their return policies being so easy to scam.
