This is wrong. You obviously have a version from a couple of years ago. When you tap on the settings, the page opens up as about and documentation on the top. Immediately at the top of the page says privacy open in settings, and it takes you to the iPhone settings Section.

You probably don’t watch the video. When you opened it as instructed the documentation is at the top right of the screen where you can easily enable Lock Screen on the VLC app.

It can connect using Bluetooth but can limit the function.

There is no way to use Siri on Android phones. Rather, you can use Google voice assistant on your android phone and it works just like Siri or Bixby if you are using Samsung
