I’ve walked into this church on 2 different days and have had great faith conversations with the people just hanging around mid day. Such a great community that shows the love of Christ and there are paintings on the walls with so many biblical and confessional references to the Christian faith and Lutheran theology.

Christians do love gay people but you can't rewrite the Bible. What Bible do you use? The Bible is about God and Jesus.

If you want to know what God thinks about everything read the Bible. If you do I think you'll find quite a few discrepancies with just being a female pastor. Please save yourself and repent and turn to Jesus Christ our Lord. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

As a former seminary student of Austin's, I find it amusing how Austin explains how churches that are not fully open and welcoming to LBGTforlks are denying themselves the full talents and participation of all its members when he spent many years as a Roman Catholic Benedictine monk and seminary professor actively working to keep people attached to Roman Catholic tradition and liturgy from being fully and openly welcomed in the Roman Catholic Church and denying the Roman Catholic church the full talents and participation of all her members. I also cannot believe for one moment that Austin did not make his homosexuality blatantly obvious to all of the members of St. Stephen's since he flaunted it in the faces of the members of the seminary and monastic community when he was a monk. Complete hypocrite.

The Bible emphatically condemns homosexuality, LGBT, and all forms of sexual immorality. It isn’t what man thinks, it is what God says in His Word.

Shall we be people of the word of God or create our own truth? Shall we embrace God's moral law or create our own moral law, there is only one who gives life and takes life, one who judges nations and people rightously and with Justice, only one sinless man Jesus only one High priest Christ, only one Savoir and God of all. There is only one way into the Kingdom of Christ where He will reign in rightousness and peace. It is by way of the gospel of God. By faith not works trusting in the rightousness of Christ, with a repentant believing obedient humbled life. Let us love in truth and in deed bringing glory and honor upon the name of Yahweh. Let us glorify the Father, let us exalt Christ and honor the Holy Spirit. How do we do that in this life having recieved the gift of faith the mercy of repentance and the person of the Holy Spirit, having been made the temple of the living God and Savior?

Courage or rebellion? Embracing God's truth or suppressing it? Fleeing sin or practicing it? Denying the fleshly desires or celebrating them? I get it Thier are beautiful kind compassionate people in my life some Christians, Catholics, seventh day Adventist, Jehova witness, Mormons, agnostics, atheists, evolutionists, legalists, universalists, Hindus, protestant, Lutheran, Methodist, the list goes on gay and straight, and transgender. Love is Love? Tolerance brings unity? Everyone has their own truth? If we all define good and evil, sinfulness and rebellion by our own standards and abandon God's moral law can we say we love God and are Loving others? We should be loving, we should live peacefully with all men, we should exclude no one, we should serve Christ and bring His gospel to all men. We should judge no one hypocriticaly knowing that sin is sin no matter what the sin is and that we too are sinners who fall short of God's call to holiness and righteousness and truth, His truth. We must not abandon God's moral law God's written revelation. If we love Yahweh, we believe Christ, then we humble ourselves as sinners putting to death the flesh that wages war against the truth of God. We don't practice Sin we go to war against it. Not against each other against the sinful desires of the flesh against every lie that elevates itself above the written revelation of Yahweh. After being born again, drawn to the Father, given to Christ, having been filled with the holy spirit, our relationship to the Father to the Son to the Holy Spirit to the sin that once held us in bondage, who's wages is death, is forever changed. We become a new creation through Christ made alive by the hearing of the gospel of God, we have now a new nature battling against the old nature that was in bondage to the flesh now we are slaves to rightousness. God defines sexual immorality He defined morality, he created male and female He defined the family. We do not have the freedom to redefine , change, add to or take away anything from the word of God. It is what we have been called to. We either flee sin or we practice it we either grieve over it or we celebrate it. We either agree with God or we create our own truth and suppress the truth of God. Let us read 1 Corinthians chapters 5 and 6. Can we celebrate, justify and practice that which God calls unholy? We are born sinful we are bent towards sin, and must be made alive in the new birth so that we will come out of darkness into God's marvelous light. What is the new birth, what is the outcome of the new birth? I hate no man and turn no man away, but the only truth I have to offer is not my own truth but God's truth as revealed in the divine miraculous supernatural written revelation of Yahweh. I don't get to pick and choose. Faith is a gift, repentance is a mercy, the new heart is evidenced in a transformed life. A repentant believing obedient humbled will submitted and committed to the glory of Yahweh and the salvation of souls. Please recieve this in Love, I too am a sinner who must pull the beam from his own eye so that I may assist my sinning brothers with the spec in their eye. This must be done, but without hypocrisy without prideful arrogance, with gentleness and in truth. Truth and Love do not stand alone. And they must stand upon the rock not sand. To the glory of God for the sake of the name of Yahweh for the redemption of Gods people.

Jesus loves us, that's why he want's us to repent, from living according to our desires, to live as his bible says. But this atheists churches are scaming people by making them believe they won't be cast to hell by keeping their desires which are all against the God of the bible. So, why not just call you atheist new age church? Hate is sending trans people to hell by making them believe they don't need to repent.

This is so sad. Spare thy wrath, O Lord. Please pray for the ELCA in general. It has fallen so far from the inner ant word of God, the Scriptures, and our precious Lutheran confessions in the Book of Concord. The gospel is lost here. The gospel is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and rose from the dead for us all.

That's a great thing to write on a feedback card! One thing I've learned, is that even when it feels like everybody's given up on a church, there are people there who would like to change it for the better. The worship team can use your feedback to improve.

I saw Rev Anita Hill preach the sermon at a Pride worship service in Manhattan, NY in 2003. She was fantastic. It is the only Pride worship service I have ever been to. I asked my pastor if she would attend with me and she said yes. My pastor at that time and still my friend to this day. A few months after that service I began moving back to my home state of Michigan.
