The pattern 3-bells, 3-bells, 3-bells and then all bells pealing occurs in many Catholic churches throughout the world. They ring to remind listeners to pray the "angelus" prayer, a prayer that reminds listeners that Christ became man, and died for us. It begins: "The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary, and she conceived of the Holy Spirit," and ends "Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O LORD, Thy grace into our hearts; that, we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord."

God is the light in heaven, he gives the light in heaven as our sun gives the light here, the difference is that the rays here are heat but in heaven they are pure unconditional love, God is pure unconditional love, dont you want to be there?

The Roman church in my town played a song called 'Mary Ann' at 7, 12, 6... it was almost rock...there were percussion, bass lines, and keyboarded notes.

I must agree even though these are recorded they sound truly amazing they have just the right toon but one thing why didn’t play Westminster chimes before the hour stoke the church down the street from me used to play the chimes it sounded just like this but they had Westminster
@nudas2u6 жыл бұрын
The bells are not tolling the hour. They are tolling a prayer known as the angelus. It is prayed daily a 6am noon and 6pm. That is why it did not play Westminster.

Imagine yourself in a park with no one else around your sitting on a blanket you feel the cool grass damp from morning dew you sniff the crisp morning air it smells of flowers and dew you watch as the sun just starts to peak over the horizon there are birds chirping in the air and a creak is trickling lazily along nearby then the church bells a start ringing filling the air with pure wonderful notes. you are at peace.

Never understood the obsession with those "digital carillons" as they sound more like a cheap electric keyboards??! Would be far better to use a CD of a actual real carillon. Even tubular bells sound far better than those so called "harp Bells" or "half bells" as I call them. Sure they sound melodic and pretty but they are as close to a carillon as a bontempi keyboard is to a steinway grand piano.

We just refer to them as actual bells ringing. If it were actual bell ringers doing this, they'd have to practice a lot (which I'd hear), and the bell ringers would be there everyday to ring the bells, which means I'd see them going into and leaving the church and I'd have spoken to and photographed them already then done a blog post about them. Besides that, there isn't enough room in that steeple for enough bells to perform songs on. The thing is: I'm amazed and quite pleased by the high fidelity of the sound system, and most people refer to it as "the church bells ringing," even though we know it is a sound system with great speakers playing recorded music.

Those are not the church bells playing Amazing Grace, you just have to re listen to the original bells to hear that the tones and sounds are completely different. What you are hearing here is a pre recorded or even live keyboard/synth using a bell sound. It is then amplified by speakers from the Bell Tower. I have been a Muso for over 50 years and I am sure that my ears do not lie to me. I would love it to be true, but it is not. Prove me wrong!!!

Pretty cool panorama view. You can also get some good views for photos and video from the 27th floor of the World Trade Center building across the harbor from where you were standing. I've been up in it a couple of times; they have one floor dedicated just for viewing the city, at least they used to, not sure if they do anymore. There was a small charge to visit the floor, $4 I think it was. I have some of the photos I took from up there posted to my channel.
