I know that road soooo well. Inlaws live by Helston... Got married in Mullion. That's a great road... Especially going right down to Lizard point! Also I went to uni in Pontypridd! I'm stuck between a V Strom and Versys. I've tested the strom and loved it... But can't find a versys to test! One thing that worries me is that folks say the seat slopes forward and pushes you into the tank.... Have you found that at all? Any bike I've ever ridden that has done that (NC750) has been awful. Excellent review!

@@Murraymoto Glad to hear it. But that car pulling out to your left at 0.16 had absolutely no idea of your existence - or so it appeared. Not where I would have elected to accelerate! KZbin videos of bike riding can be deceptive, because the viewer's visual input attention is not coming from the same plane as the actual rider, but rather the angle of the camera. But still please be careful!! Enjoyed the video thanks and yes I would buy a 2000s sport bike

I’d say don’t be to over confident, ride how your comfortable, how the conditions are, biggest thing I was taught was to look as far ahead at the road ahead of you to see oncoming traffic, what the roads like traffic wise, how safe it is etc .. and just be mindful that cars really don’t appreciate L plates , just ride you’re ride.. if people get shitty , let them.. but ultimately motorbikes are incredible so just enjoy it

I’d also say mastering the clutch and slow manoeuvres would be the first thing I’d focus on too

You are reminding me that I have to cancel the original ugly rear fender. I completely removed the Fob function to avoid that nightmare. I admit that I'm living an extremely safe country so I could do it without thinking twice. I have mine with the original exhaust and the baffle removed, and it sounds amazing with all the sweet, exciting pops pops pops 🔥🔥🔥

Ullapool and the Western Ross trail is just the best. The great weather this week would have made it an ideal time to go. I have recently bought a low mileage Versys 650 GT and it’s going there all being well next spring and summer.

21 progressive access meaning your limited to 500-600cc bikes or 24 with a direct access (full bike license) any range from 50cc to over 1000cc without l plates on 50cc & 125s etc but lets face it you wouldn’t wanna do your test just to ride a 50cc lol 😂
