I never had a Saturn either and always thought it would be fun to dive into it. Very cool idea, and nice presentation on the video, and nice game choices with the SHMUPS. Saturn looks like it had some great arcade style music / game style. Keep it up!

The things you NEED to know right now -> 1. Up button by itself will face block. This is only for the softer face punches; it will not work for the biggest punches. Using this too much will also get you pink even for the softer punches. Blocking will take your hearts from the heart meter; once you run out of hearts, you will turn pink and be the most vulnerable. 2. Up + a or b button will punch to either side of the face. 3. Down + a or b will punch to the body/belly. 4. Also, you have a star meter. It counts up to 3. Every time you get one, you can press the start button to use one of them. If you get hit though, you will always lose at least one star off the star meter. 5. You can duck and it works for any punch, but this is not even needed at any point of the game at all and it's confusing for a beginner to get right. Learning to dodge as a strategy is your best form of defense and key to your success. 6. Don't be nearly so cautious, pessimistic, and slow in action; have at it! Speed and timing are paramount. 7. When your opponent returns at the 1 count from a knockdown, a star punch will send them right back down every time. 8. Get your opponent's life meter almost fully black before the round is over. Then, put them down quickly next round. That way, you have a long time to get 2 more of them for the TKO. 9. If you have a lot of black on your personal life meter, then you can hold down + select while on the black char screen until you start up again to recover your life up some again. This will only work once, so don't use it until you need it... On Glass Joe: he's always hittable to the head or body at every moment of the fight. When he backs up and comes back like he does, practice hitting him to the body or head as he comes back to you. If done right, he'll go down. And, he may stay down after that. THIS IS A VERY LOW RISK PROPOSITION, SO JUST DO IT! On Von Kaiser: Know when he will throw his uppercuts. Hint: it has to do with most of the time when he ducks. As he does, hit him on his belly to collect stars/add stars to your star meter. This is highly important to take him out in a minute of the fight. Then, hit him to the face with a normal punch; he'll be "frozen" after being hit. A single star punch after that--while he's frozen--will get you a knockdown. Two more times and it is over. On Piston Honda: As with Glass Joe, practice to get the timing right on when he backs up and comes backs to you. You can hit him then. Every time you get the timing on this right, he will go down with that one hit. This can happen twice. Other than that, he's easy to hit and the last one will be easy to get. Just know the timing, wait for it, and have confidence that you can do it... On Don Flamenco: He wants you to fight without strategy, so that he can hit you with his big punches in the strums. He forces you to swing at him. So, by all means, punch at his head as he wants just once; he'll swing back. You must dodge this punch and hit him as fast as you can. Repeat. He go down and stay down--if you can do this twice in under a minute. Even if you can't, you should TKO him in the 1st round. To get to DF, look for the code online; I forgot it. On King Hippo: Dodge anything that comes at first. Until you see him open his big mouth. You have to hit him on the head when he does that; he telegraphs it when he will do it by making a loud ape-like noise. Hit him right then and follow that by hitting him to the body/belly until he pulls his pants up. Repeat until he'd down. This is his secret; you only have to put him down once and he NEVER gets up...You did part of it once: I don't know if it was accidental or not, though. On Great Tiger: At first, block each jab and punch back to the head over and over as long as you can. This will allow you to do a lot of damage to him before the next phase of attack. Eventually, he will go Von Kaiser on you. When he does, repeat what you did on Von Kaiser to get stars. Then, dodge his uppercut and hit him on the head with a normal head punch or two + a star punch; repeat; it's important that you don't dawdle, because you may give him enough time to hit you with those uppercuts if you do. Last, if you don't TKO him by 2:30 of the 1st round[YOU CAN EASILY], his magic punches will then come. Simply block and release before each punch. You have to block, let go, block, let go of it, block, etc You must block 5 of these punches. He will be dazed and will go down with a normal head punch after that. IF YOU NEED HELP AFTER THIS, YOU'D BE BETTER TO WATCH. BUT, FOR THESE, YOU DON'T NEED TO AND YOU CAN GET YOUR FEET WET... Similar Fighters: Glass Joe, Piston Honda, Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, and Tyson. Von Kaiser, Great Tiger, Soda Popinski, and Super Macho man Don Flamenco and King Hippo(overly defensive fighters that can punish or pummel you, without the right strategy)

@@thezainglorious You are so very welcome. I could have mentioned the secrets to the others as well, but I think it would help you to get these down and excel at them 1st. Because, the latter half is more brutal and--if you cannot excel at these fighter principles--you will not beat the next fighter up the ladder of each fighter type. Not only that, it's a safe bet to say that you'll need the skill to beat GT and/or those before him to beat Soda Popinski, Bald Bull/BB2, PH2, DF2(fights smarter this time, fights like game versions of AIi and Foreman at different times of this fight), Sandman, Super Macho Man, and Tyson. If you excel at the 1st half and watch those that play at the bare minimum level required to beat the higher ones(NOT THOSE PLAYING LIKE EXPERTS, BUT THOSE DOING CLOSE TO THE BARE MINIMUM*), then more will come. It's doable--if you continue to watch and practice, get faster in what you do, and know when they will do this or that/when you have to do this or that(so you can move in time or perform a beneficial or necessary hit at the right moment)...HOPEFULLY, YOU EVENTUALLY GET THEM ALL! *Only certain people can be experts, I'm somewhere in the middle and not an expert. There are many that would obliterate me in any video game. These people doing the perfect runs or speed runs--if you've seen them--I can never get there. So, I offer a possibly doable perspectve...
