@@Tobi-pd4jo I use the standard height sticks with kontrol freaks (the galaxy ones) on them. I like that they are a little wider and grippier than the standard sticks. But the kontrol freaks I do have, have a higher right stick. If I was not using them I'd go with the standard height on the left and the longest on the right.

@@babyjj427 no, I have the scuff paddles for my elite series 2 which are nice but at 60 dollars more for their base model I've never had the extra cash to try one. I would happily review one of them however if they were to send me one 😉

I use the loosest one if you turn the adjustment tool all the way to the left. It's just personal preference but I feel I have an easier time hitting flick shots if I have less tension. I also use the standard height sticks but I use Kontrol Freaks on both rather than the accessories sticks you can get. The ones I use are the galaxy(Kontrol Freaks) so the left stick is short and the right tall. You don't have to use these but I find a longer right stick helps with cross hair placement and accuracy at distance to make small aim adjustments. I also play claw so I don't use the paddles but if I had it to do it over from the beginning I would learn paddles it gives you a lot more options for binds.

@@vexzore7019 go with what's working best for you if you're getting good aim with higher tension run with it my friend. The most important thing is finding settings that match your play style and then sticking with them to build muscle memory.

@@yauklin Very true. I’ve been sticking to no tension for a while (it’s what my old controller had) I only tried higher tension stuff once I got an elite 2 Xbox controller. I might just stay in low tension.

⁠@@vexzore7019i think it’s similar to skateboarding. It’s easier to balance on your skateboard when you have tight trucks (the things holding the wheels to the board) but your ceiling will be limited compared to loose trucks. Loose tension is harder to consistently learn, but once you do you will be a better player

Reducing input delay on console helps a lot by turning off unnecessary settings. But for sensitivity I would suggest playing with what you are most comfortable with and adjusting from there to fine tune.

Dead zone is the distance you have to move your thumb stick before the game recognizes you're moving it. So a low dead zone will make any slight movement of your thumb stick move your player or aim. A high dead zone means you can slightly move your thumbstick with no in game movement. Also as controllers age and wear out the dead zones increase and will need to be adjusted to compensate. Unfortunately each controller is different so you have to kind of adjust each one. If you are moving in game slightly without touching the thumbstick increase the dead zone till you stop moving. Otherwise I would use the lowest dead zone you can that doesn't cause you to move without touching the sticks if that makes sense.

So if I understand correctly your gc553 doesn't show up for an audio device in OBS? Does it show up when you add it as a video capture device? I would first try unplugging it, and then replugging it in. some times mine gets hung up. If that doesn't work I suggest making sure you have the most recent drivers from avermedia's site. I also have RECcentral installed as well as the stream engine and the update utility. I'm not sure if those add some kind of upgraded functionality to the device but it may be worth a shot. Hope this helps.

@@yauklin tried kinda everything, different OBS versions; Win10/11 several different driver versions but it wont show up as a input capture audio device. i really dont know why you have that option:D

Hello, I have the live gamer portable 2 plus capture device, I use it in free pc mode and I connect my headphones to the Jack 3.5 input of the capture device, but when I press the central button to record to the micro SD, the audio from my headphones cuts off and I don't hear anything, can you help me, thank you. I have written to avermedia and they don't respond.

I'm not familiar with that particular card. The only thing I can suggest is making sure the firmware is up to date and the drivers. You can find them on Avermedia's site. There is also a program called assist central you can download there that will update the firmware and drivers for you. Otherwise maybe just use your PC's sound card if that's an option for you. Avermedia usually takes a while to respond not sure if they are super busy or just understaffed. But when I had issues it was a month or more till I received a response. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'm only familiar with the GC553 since that's the capture device I own, but it doesn't have SSD or headphone jacks only HDMI. 🫶
