i wanted to see if my ridiculously cheap scientific calculator can do (21+X)÷X=8 but my calculator can't do = before calculating

I almost finished the 4th year engineering not noticing that i have the fake one since high school lol

Trying to solve "X+1=X-1" fails on the genuine calculators. Which is good. That's the correct result. However, a lot of the bootlegs give weird results due to the nature of floating point numbers and computers.

In Vietnam, our calculators do have a anti-fake sticker in front of the calculator, and also a digital warranty activation sticker on the back But the anti-fake stickers are like easy to imitate

so how many of you guys have fake calculators..?😅

The cheaper one all the way!! students barely have any money as it is, dont waste your money buying a original for no reason

For all the people here saying "oh so im not bad at math its my calculator" The only part of the fake calculator that doesn't work is the equation solver, and if you're not bad at math you'll just solve the equations yourself in less time

I have a fake classwiz, and the funny thing about it is that if you put in too many numbers, you can change the firmware to a different mode. It seems that the same exact chip is used in multiple replicas, so after you change the mode the menu appearance and list of features changes, and the lcd behaves weirdly (it's inverted and mirrored). This can be reverted by taking the battery out and putting it back in

Literally 99.90% of the calculators I've ever owned are fake Casios 🙃 so I'm glad I have two original Casios (83GT X & 85GT CW) that still fully work!
