It does generate heat in some way as nothing is 100% efficient, and you are adding power to it to make the pump work

The information presented is so outdated. With inverter technology, (most aircon got that). the energy won't fluctuate.

Most AC in the US are not inverter driven. Thermostat > contactor > scroll compressor. Mostly still pretty basic controls.
