So what PDABs say is, "If the manufacturer leaves our state, it's their fault ... Not ours." How does that help the patient? When the patient has access to these drugs currently, we do not understand why it is okay to risk our lives to achieve this. Whether it's morally corrupt for the pharmas to leave or not... It still puts patients in a bind. The state will not be held harmless, due to the fact that these medications will be stripped from the patient's hands. Unless the government is going to pay for the patient's drugs during the time that the UPL is negotiated with the manufacturer. Or if the state can guarantee they will not leave the state. Which the state just simply cannot do. That is the issue. Patients are being used as pawns on both sides.
