Get a diamond/carbide wheel. That metal cutting wheel is less than ideal and creates far more heat than it should.

Is it normal for tgem to not move much when heat is raised. We have airation...several of them. And leave the water level a bit lower so the filter created movement. We are using Ich X. Lost so many fish. This is the craziest outbreak Ive seen.

This is a manual LED dimmer, right? I am looking for one with an automatic LED dimmer that dims slowly up to one hour long.

Nice info. Some says that, the heat temperature doesnt kill ich but speed up. I'm a little confused here. Is ich it invertebrate? That mean, invertebrate doesnt resist at higher temperature, say 88 - 89f. And ich should be die at that 88 - 89f in long period. At least it doesnt breeding. If you want to proove that, put some adult ich from body's fish. Then heat up until 89f. And observe it. Then you will get a real true answer. Not just "people says"

Denny Setiawan Has to be a PWM Dimmer, regular dimmers will not work with most LEDs.

I tried this with a PWM controller and had the same blinking issue.. it happened when i left it at the dimmest setting and the blinking stayed even after going directly with the adaptor

Michelle's Hobby Lobby if you've been treating for 3 weeks something isn't being done correctly with the temperature or you have a strain of ich that is more resistant and will require harsher treatments

heat does NOT kill ich but rather speeds up the life cycle.
@DarkPlagueStudios
@DarkPlagueStudios 8 жыл бұрын
I agree my statement regarding 88f straight up killing ich is slightly inaccurate(it just has a much higher likelihood of working). Speeding up the life cycle IS killing it. If something takes 'x' number of days naturally and 'y' process reduces that in half, that process was the cause of a shortened life. As a result you can infer that said process was the cause of death rather than the natural life cycle.
