I'll toss in my two cents worth. I might live in Texas and went to my first afternoon tea at Grand Galvez Hotel in Galveston, Texas on November 30 2024. It was a royal afternoon tea because champagne was included which is my understanding. I'm doing my own little tea here at home in my apartment. I just carefully separated my scone with my hands and didn't cut it with a knife. I spread clotted cream on the scone first and then put jam, in this case lemon curd, on second. Im using Chivers Lemon Curd, English clotted cream from Devon Cream Company and Devon scones from Haywood and Padgett. I'm drinking some Taylor's of Harrogate loose leaf English Breakfast tea. All I know is they all taste so good and now I'm right spoiled in a delicious way. I choose the Devon style myself but I guess it comes down to a person's preference. I bought all of these items i just mentioned from Goodwoods British Market in Friendswood, Texas yesterday with my son.

You are probably used to greasy, savoury crisps. Asian snacks are lighter and come in varieties from lightly sweet to savoury. Western cereals have far more sugar and chemicals than those chips. These are not cereal like, you are just not familiar with Asian snacks.

I had them make a Pastrami and Tongue. It’s not on the menu. As a New Yorker that has had Katz and Carnegie Deli his entire life on a recent visit I found Langer’s as a superior sandwich. The owner is a great guy, coming to all the tables. I don’t find anything wrong with all those numbered specialties but just the Pastrami and Tongue with mustard on double cooked rye bread , WOW. BTW my group sat at the same table.
