My son was.... idk, maybe 19 month or so when we went on a plane with him for the first time. I packed a bag full of just toys and snacks. Jokes on me because for my son, apparently all i had to bring was 4 little cars that ended up being the golden ticket every time. Got bored of one car? Just pulled a different one out and then just cycle through all of them and hell forget about the other by the time you bring out the next one. For him at the time it was like an endless supply of interesting vehicles lol

Have you ever tried going to Trader Joe’s, getting some pizza dough wrapped up and letting your baby play with that? They could make shapes, it’s a weird texture to explore, and pretty clean if it’s kept wrapped. You could do this with aluminum foil too. Your baby may like the shininess.

thank you EXACTLY. so many people complain about that stuff, but you can't keep for example toddlers quiet and happy for a 10 hour flight? Or even like a 4 hour car ride. It's not that deep to let them watch something made for kids. @@toriracz

1 year olds are still just learning. Yeah, you can "teach" them and get a screaming 1 year old but it is better to give them something to do at that age. It is better to get them used to it in other settings than an airplane.

You are silly it's only the very young years that are hard. Once they get to 4 it's pretty easy and super rewarding and fun. I wouldn't trade being a parent for the childless life at all. All you do is work for barely for any weeks of holidays and the weekend when you are childless. And no disposable income is only if you are poor and you don't have to have kids young if you are afraid of missing the best years of your life. I had all my babies in my 30s and missed out on nothing.

@Haganeization if kids can't behave themselves, I do get to say "stop being around me" if I'm in a place that I cannot remove myself from. If an adult sat and screamed off the top of their lungs for hours on a plane they'd get arrested. But it's fine just because it's an infant that has no business being on a plane in the first place?

Also the baby isn’t old enough to consent to being online. I doubt it can even talk. Babies don’t know the consequences of being online and really shouldn’t be shown. What would have been a funny moment between the family is now shown to thousands of people.
