That is so cool! How is it I've lived in Canada my whole life and have never heard of this until today? But it's way too far north for me to ever visit in person.

Зачем они все смотрят в прорубь? Достаточно делать ритмичные подергивания блесны.Голец сам засекается на тройнике,привлекаемый блеском блесны.

On April 11th, there was a presentation to the council in Pinawa about the event, got the presentation via a resident present who requested it from the presenter. Crystal clear in violation of the regulations! How can they get away with that? What is the council's "land acknowledgment part" worth or how seriously do they take it, when they allow a continued abuse of their natural resources? Especially when this year the walleye regulations for the area got ratcheted up, to protect them.

This was a real treat to see a modern Inuit using traditional method of fishing. Ive scoured the internet to find modern Inuits doing traditional things and almost all I have found were White ppl copying them trying to become “bushmasters.” That’s great and all but Ive been so disappointed that I cannot the real deal mostly everywhere I look. I even saw an English man make a 8”-10” arrowhead knife from start to finish using an antler hammer, a rock, and some other primitive nipper. Again, it’s almost never our native North Americans. Have they given up their traditional knowledge altogether? 😞.

I want to buy several of these artificial bait fishes for our fishery museum in Germany, because they look very good, very realistic. Does anybody know how to contact the Baitrix Products company? They are hard to find on the internet ...

If memory serves me correctly, a story appeared in your news letter back around 1992 of a butcher from Tennessee who caught the record of 66+ lb. laker. The story told that the same day he had another one on that felt much bigger, then it felt like a 6-pounder. When he got it in, it was a 22 lb. partially decomposed lake trout. It was then realized that it was the fish that was in the gut of the one he had on...estimating the larger to be in the 100+ lb range!

It violates Manitoba Fishing regulations! Walleye between 45 cm and 70 cm can not be legally used for a competitive Fishing event, no matter if you just take a picture. But with a corrupt conservation office as your buddies, everything goes. Enticing people to come for Sturgeon which is also under conservation closure, disgusting! So if you want to become a professional Lund Poacher this is your tournament.

Good example of a catch and release that looks like it worked but that fish was miss treated fought,handled and brought into the boat incorrectly. Interesting how even with a camera crew we don’t get a shot of it swimming away... Good try to get her back but that fish died for a video and a few extra pictures. 👎

I hate to tell ya man. This laker is not 50lbs. Looks smaller then my pb which is 33lbs. Has no gut whatsoever. Nice big laker man but I put that fish in about the 25lb range.

I know this is four years old but how much does a charter like this cost?
@SteveMacInnis4 жыл бұрын
It was $1,500/day + gratuity for up to six people. Very experienced captains - great for a group - unlimited lobster sandwiches on board that day - 2 giants landed - and lots of other diversions - a highly recommended fishing adventure

Is this part of the Canadian Shield as well?
@SteveMacInnis4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mantoman - Yes. From the Labrador coast on the east, the shield covers most of Quebec and extends into Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and the Arctic Archipelago. In the United States, the same shield touches Minnesota, New York, and Wisconsin
