I've always wondered about that route through the park. Thanks for sharing. You could have taken Cienega Road for a loop. There are other roads, but I think they're private. Another great loop is Paicines to New Idria, Panoche. 115 miles and plan on finishing in the dark. And get a new bike. Not enough tire clearance.

Thanks for watching! Definitely could have done better recon to not end up on a farm road 😅 But love my Cervelo and I certainly know I'm pushing the tire clearance the max. Currently running 42mm S-Works Pathfinders - some of the best all-around gravel tires in my opinion but will probably drop down to 38mm once these wear out.

Thanks for the vid. Have a question about your route. Did you cross west to east into Pinnacles and then south and right turn down into King City ? If so was there a way to get across 101 at King City ? Or did you ride south on 25 into Pinnacles and then up the trail ? The rangers did nt stop you with the bike ? I tried getting permission to carry over the trail and they would not allow it (a decade ago). Thanks for the fun video. I just rode to Paso via Pinnacles from LOs Gatos. Fun route.

I went east to west, but I am curious if the winds would be better the other way around. A ranger did stop me when I was prepping for the hike. He thought I was locking it to a tree. I showed him my backpack strap and I acknowledged that I knew I couldn’t ride my bike so I was going to hike it. He said good luck and drove away!

@@Adam_Lazor Hi Adam, thanks. Nice the know the rangers understand these days. When I asked about carrying my bike it was a flat no, no matter how I carried. it. Winds along the Ca. coast, and Salinas Valley are typically from the NW, and as use know from living in SC, usually build in the afternoons. If a low pressure (storm condx) are approaching they often reverse and come from the south of SW. If we have a high pressure overhead typically winds will die out. In summer that would be hot. In winter it would be perfect for your trip.

And also I enjoyed watching your video and I have a few thoughts of an idea of maybe some video that might challenge and maybe peak some interest for others in your content I had an idea of you trying to survive biking in extreme temperatures of heat while biking miles cause I would be curious to see how you would do and maybe another of biking at crazy speeds down a mile like maybe the title saying this mountain was the fastest mountain I’ve ever ridden or biking in the coldest of weathers just some thoughts to think about that you could do maybe doing some of riding in some packed cities cause they can add some challenges to riding with lots of traffic but I just wanted to put that out there for yeah I hope you continue to try and continue to make content I’m trying my best to make content whenever I can good luck to you I hope to see some similar content like I watched 👌🤘🔥🔥

I have a question so I’m looking into getting a road bike myself I was curious what brand it is and I’m curious of what size tires you have and if the tire is a road tire or gravel tire and would it not make any difference affecting speed if it were a gravel bike tire on the road because it’s my first time trying to look for a road bike and I’m riding more on the road

The bike I'm riding is a Cervelo Aspero. It's a gravel bike with 42mm gravel tires on there (maximum clearance on this frame). Gravel tires will affect your speed slightly on road but probably not enough to notice on the regular basis. I love my gravel bike because of the type of riding I do which is generally 75% Road 25% Dirt. If you think you'll ride more road, get a road bike that allows you fit wider tires on if you want but still has the geometry and feel of a road bike. Steel is a great option.

@ Yeah that makes since sometimes I ride a bit on the dirt because theirs short cuts in my town that’s dirt road, so a gravel bike probably be of good use to me from time to time, but thank you man.

A ranger pulled up to me as I was walking to the trail head and had no issue with what I was doing. He was more worried that I was only wearing Birkenstocks and curious about my backpack strap.

On the one hand, this is SO sick! On the other hand, it's SO depressing seeing the sad state of bike trails in the US, especially here in California where we could literally bike anywhere 24/7 365 if given the infrastructure.

I agree. But in Pinnacles case I totally understand why they wouldn't let bikes on the main trails. There's only a few that could handle bikes and they would get torn up/make it impossible as a hiker to enjoy the nature.

@@Adam_Lazor That definitely makes sense, I'm more referring to the section where you had to play frogger across a construction zone just to get where you needed to be! Bike trails are so segmented here it forces people to do crazy dangerous stuff like that

Feels like home. I learned on an XR so to me it’s what a Onewheel should feel like. Although this is slightly different the low ride height feels awesome. Torque and speed is more than enough for my cruising needs.

It was definitely one of those days! I will say the trail was very rideable but had high traffic and I was filming so I wanted to obey the rules 😉 I can’t imagine the other way being any harder. Worth a try!

"I don't know what my focus would be." That question has to have stopped so many people from taking that step, especially in this day with all these professional and hyper-focused channels. But there's really no reason that has to be defined so early on. There's a ton of value in just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks, not just for the audience but also seeing what kind of content gets you the most excited and brings you the most pride. Definitely loving the "just do it" attitude, looking forward to seeing more man! 🤘
