When you have the tarp over, why not flip the tarp and fasten the tent to the tarp.loops?

These videos are beautiful, they remind me of camping with my partner in the adelaide hills, he loved bushcrafting and taught me so many survival skills. He passed away a little over a month ago and the simple times like this with him are the moments I'm mourning for and missing the most. Life is so precious, all we take with us are our memories and moments in time. Thank you for sharing💚
@jeremyzafiropoulos82977 күн бұрын
This really broke my heart to read... may your partner rest in eternal peace and wishing both you and his family consolation and comfort. I'm so glad you were able to bond and spend time in the bush together - those memories will never be forgotten. All the best, friend

@@dtomic17 well I’ve done it myself a few times. Not easy, but a fun challenge. Car camping is definitely its intended use- I was highlighting the fact that you can push yourself with it if you want and try something new.

Hi. I’m thinking about getting a homecamp tent but the canvas they use is 220gsm which is really light grade. How do you rate the durability of the canvas in person? Is this still an all weather tent or best for fair weather weekends away? Cheers
@RyanWorsman5 ай бұрын
Hey mate, I haven’t had any issues with the durability nor do any of the materials feel flimsy to me. The canvas is definitely on the lighter side compared to most Australian swag canvas, but that’s what allows the tent to pack down so small and light. Regarding weather, I’ve used it in moderate rain, “heavy” too if you count me blasting it on jet mode with a hose for 30 minutes. Never had any leaks. Also used it in moderate winds and the tent barely moved, one of the bonuses of there being so many guylines to secure it.

What a stunning forest. Shame about it being leech city. I've heard that the 40% deet Bushman's sprayed around your boots/pants/gators deters them pretty well. I see you're a bit of an Alton Goods fan too. I have a drawing collection myself. I'm a fan of the "plough point" set up for the tarp. Anyway, you popped up in my feed, never seen you before. Gave you a sub. 😁
@RyanWorsman6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip regarding the leeches I'll look into that. Yeah I probably own most of Alton's store by now haha- and the plough point is great, I love how fast and easy it is to setup. Thanks for watching mate, glad to see you here, I've actually watched a few of your videos before :)

@CooeeAdventures6 ай бұрын
@@RyanWorsman Thanks for the info on the knife, much appreciated ☺, I will check it out. I took fresh food and too much first aid, safety and survival stuff. My tent weighs 1.4kg. I didn't weigh my pack - have no idea. Also had a steep hike in and out. Putting together a vid - have learned from my first solo trip :)
