@erez161 Word man, will do. Yeah I shopped for literally 4 months to find a real manual one. They always list them as "manual" when they are dct in listings. Believe it or not, there were only 2 real manuals for sale in the entire country during last summer, and luckily as hell, one was only 2 hours from me. I actually bought it before they even uploaded pictures of it. Ran to the dealership the day it was listed lol

@@ShamanNoodles I believe it, I was also looking and couldn’t find any. If you got it from a dealership, that means you got lucky and they didn’t upcharge you for it being a manual?

@@erez161 yeah, it was a small dealership. iirc they had it listed at 24,300 and I got them down to 23,700 in cash. They knew they messed up though. They were miserable and snappy when I went to pick it up a couple days later. When I said thanks on the way out, the sales manager was like "I shouldn't have discounted this car. Clearly you knew what you were buying." 😂 I got so lucky. I'm excited for March too cuz I'm gonna have my own home garage for the first time ever. I don't know much about mechanical work but I am good at tuning. I just gave my brother my VR4 which we built to 500hp and I tuned with a fully programmable ECU. He's a Mazda master technician so he helped put in the intercooler and other mods.

@@TheChaseKilla No, it shouldn’t be hard to get in. It must be hitting something in the way or the hoses are not in the right place. Should be very easy to get in. I would be very careful

@ No, there is no hoses, the filter isn’t even attached, it won’t fit through the hole, it seems larger than the hole.

@@easternkidd I plan on explaining my fuel line setup in Part 2 along with flashing everything with MHD. But basically I am running a Precision Raceworks stage 2.5 LPFP with the Precision Raceworks Billet Top Hat Regulator. Then AN6 line all the way to a Motiv Flex Fuel sensor. Finally, from the sensor to the Manifold Port Injection Rail.

@@idonjohnson6999 You kind of answered your own question. MHD is the program/flasher and the base maps; stage 1 through 2 plus, are the off the shelf basic tunes. These maps were created by Tuners that worked MHD to make simple tunes for people with full bolt ons. Anything more complicated requires a custom tune. You can still make good power with these off the shelf tune maps though.

@ ah thanks for the reply. I see so many talk about having an “MHD tune” which implies MHD makes a tune/made the tune. With ‘off the shelf’ maps it’s a gamble if it’s safe, but since so many run it….

@@AICD1999 Yeah the seal blew on one of them during a track day.

It was PB Blaster fluid all over the ground for the bolts. As for the gunk, it was from an old valve cover leak that was already fixed.

@@scorpioncubain You need to upgrade this module after upgrading your Fuel Pump, otherwise you might get left stranded on the road because of the extra electrical amperage that the upgraded fuel pump requires.

@@Dope.And.Pretty They are great, I even tracked the car with them lol. They are originally off of a BMW E39 5 Series. With old wheels, I would recommend taking the to a wheel shop and checking for bends, then taking them apart, cleaning them, and refinishing them.

@@erez161 If I went this direction I'd be getting custom lips and barrels to convert to 19". But I think I'd want to do it with the 18" faces.

@@herculesmorse9526 I love BR series coilovers, I tracked the car with them it was insane. I don’t think you need to go with ones that are more expensive unless you are getting into competition. I also chose to go with the Whiteline sway bar links. This kit does come with sway bar links though, I just did not use those.

Yeah it was unexpected to have it up like that in July. First real track day did not go well with 155k mile turbos haha

Maybe I will just slap the single turbo on and wait until 195k to do the other stuff haha, we will see

i have only upgraded my thermostat & I set my radiator fan speed to sport so the fan comes on a little sooner. In germany, i sometimes daily the 135i & it remains around 30-20c under stock operating temps no matter how long or fast I drive. Autobahn up to 280kmh & nürburgring tried & done. No extra coolers are needed. I have read though that the n55 has more cooling passages than n54

@@DigitalDissident How did you set the fan to sport? Ive only heard of setting the water pump to sport through mhd

@@erez161 It's called fan speed in MHD for my N55. & the fan does turn on sooner, I can hear it. I don't know how my stock water pump/coolant system works in terms of when it goes on /off or if it is indpendant of the fan speed.

Yeah, I think a good oil cooler system is key. I have an oil cooler but I still need a auxiliary fan system for it. Which I will be installing soon, then the temps will stay on the cool side.

The compressor is set at 95psi

7:50 you can see where it connects to the nipple on the waste gate. Just follow the old hose line. Definitely hard to see but you will be able to feel it.

@@erez161 Thank you, My old hose wasn't connected but I did eventually get new hose on. I went with 4mm ID and used a medical hemostat and spit to get it on. Regards, Jake

Thanks! It’s worth buying the knuckle strut spreader bit. Makes taking the front strut out a lot easier.

@@erez161 I did buy that back when I bought the struts. 😀 And I’m lucky in that my Z4 doesn’t have adaptive suspension! I’ll try to get time this weekend for the strut install. I’ve already replaced the rear shocks and springs.

No, you need the E89 Z4 specific. We do have a similar rear end to the E46 but the front end is way different.

Ill be doing E85 once I buy the Nexsys Port Injection kit.
