The irony in this video is the Funeral Mortuary music they are playing. When that chain breaks loose being used as a “Super Winch” someone will be greeted by St. Peter. Not all chains are meant for lifting and they sure become a lethal projectile . Rope or wire rope is used for a reason.

The video is very interesting. In my opinion, it would be even more interesting if each of the many drillings had not been documented.

The video never showed how you attached the chain to the spool. Personally I wouldn't have used a chain because you can use a longer synthetic rope or cable/wire rope to reach out 3 to 4 times farther.
