I make good money doordashian. Usually 25 an hour. That's on a good day and minus the 20 I use for gas. I also do have to drive 15 minutes away to make that. If I just want to work a couple hours I do it around my house and the orders aren't as good. I refuse to make under 2$ a mile. Probably why I'm at 19%. If I could get up to 50% I could move up to silver I believe. Have you ever had 2 orders come in and the second stop took so long the first order keeps texting you threatening you saying they know where you're at and they are coming to find you??? Scary. I also can't stand driving 12 miles for 3$. Luckily I figured out how to find the mileage. Beginners mistake... Also it's annoying when they say you make an extra 3$ a dash so when you go to that area you might get that $3 for a dash or two then it goes away. I love working my own hours but it's very annoying

I heard that you dont need to be at a hotspot, but for me the hotspots work better. All zones are different though.

You can, but only if you maintain platinum which allows you to dash anytime.

It matters if you want to dash anytime. I got hit with an AR glitch and lost my platinum and its killed my dashing for a week now. In my zone you have to maintain an 80% AR. Sigh

Working the day before Thanksgiving has been my biggest pay day so far. I turn orders down all the time. I'm not driving 10 plus miles for $8. I'm at a 40 expectance rate. If I dash where I live I sometimes wait 5 - 10 minutes. If I drop my husband at work I dash there it's busy and I get offers back-to-back no matter how many I turned down. I make a little over $20 an hour there. I have never got a cash tip. I delivered over $100 worth of steaks 7 miles away the day before Thanksgiving and I only made $8. It's just not worth it. I had an order right after that from McDonald's for two double cheeseburger meals and it was only a mile away and I made $8.50. I am a big believer on declining the bad offers

It isn't your business to judge whether or not a grilled cheese should be ordered or prepared at home. That's the problem with dashers like you. Do the job you applied for or get another. It's not a get rich quick job.

Yes, here in the Bay Area. Says busy yet people are walking out with 2 bags or getting orders when they just arrived and I’ve been sitting there for 10-30 minutes.

The entire DoorDash system itself is glitchy where our zones are very busy, but no orders popped up. Yeah, I've been suffering through this for the past 3 months.

Supply and demand I guess. If it's busy and you're not getting offers there must be too many drivers, or maybe the app just says it's busy but it's really not busy.

You are dead on !! Same nonsense here. Busy, ( lies ) oversaturated markets , says BUSY , DD is doing this just to lure drivers out, so they can tell customers that they have drivers. Another thing is, they don't let you see where you are going until you accept. I think that's shady😡
