This season as a whole is bad and has bad writing throughout it, however THIS episode really did it for me. writing aside, I feel as though the acting from Mary & Woody did it for me! "Hail Mary" being played while Mary J. shoots up the house was a smart choice in my opinion. Feeling bittersweet about how they do the last episode tho.

The writing/directing (maybe even the editing) for this season has been so bad 😂😂 But in all fairness, I think all shows end poorly so it tracks 😂😂

Power fans accept the bare minimum. People are saying this episode is good purely because of the Monet death scene. Some people actually said this episode made them cry 😂 Otherwise, people are clowning it all over Twitter.

There’s no way Power just copied Snowfall. Tariq (like Franklin) is forced to work with an officer (CIA). The officer (knowing the main protagonist will cross them) crosses them first. The main protagonist finds out and sets up a plan to catch said officer. Plan goes wrong and the main protagonist is caught. Their friends help out and save the main protagonist from getting killed. Now, they have said officer tied up as their friends asking them “what do you wanna do now?” As the camera slowly pans into their face. Snowfall also had the character of Jerome go guns blazing into a warehouse full of bodyguards to save his wife. Similarly, Monet went into the wedding reception guns blazing to save Cane. In both cases, both characters died in the end after successfully saving their loved one. Tariq also had the random baby storyline (similar to Franklin in S6). It’s hard to ignore that Power outright copy and pasted a bunch of plot points from Snowfall and integrated them with minor changes and very rushed execution.

I thought Hail Mary was a nice touch for Mary’s last moments. RIP Monet, the worst Power mom. And that says a lot bc they’re all bad moms. She finally decided she loved her kids though lol
