There would be some disturbing views from parts of this drive today (Jan 11 2025). 405 is close to the Palisades fire that's currently still burning out of control. I hope for safety for anyone in that area - this is a rough time.

Btw the area is so different now. The El Dorado Blvd, Bay Area Blvd, FM 528, and FM 646 overpasses were torn down and now go under IH-45 instead of flying over. Seeing these old videos of how it used to be gives me nostalgia as someone who grew up and pretty much lived in Houston my entire life.
